I am going on holiday for two weeks, but I really feel I need to know all is alright if I am to actually relax and enjoy it. Can you pay for a scan if it looks like you might have to wait?

Haven't you got your 12 week scan before you go? I was told I couldnt be over 14 weeks for that as there are certain things they can only check for duing this stage in pregnancy.

I paid for a scan at 10 weeks as I couldn't wait for my 12 week scan. It cost £120 at the birth centre in London. Just type in pregnancy scan and the area you live on google and you should find something around you, think they are usually available from approx £90.

Also would think you will have your NHS scan before then, can't you ring your miswife and ask?

Congratulations

Thanks ladies. Called midwife and made her aware how concerned I am she will chase it up. Also have found company who do scanning privately for back up plan. Panic over. You ladies are brilliant!
