I'm getting married in two weeks and will be 22 weeks pregnant. I feel great so far so hopefully this will continue. I am getting flats and heels so I can swap about throughout the day and keep comfy. Have ordered in some lovely non-alcoholic drinks so it feels a bit special. I can't see me being on my feet loads.

I do need to find some MASSIVE knickers for a smooth line, that aren't ones that pull you in .

Is there anything else I need to think about?

Not sure on what sort of dress you have, but you may need to think, not only of big knickers, but also seamless knickers so you don't get the big knicker line through yur dress! I didn't think of this 'till after I have brought veyr expensive big 'squeeze you in' knickers which I tried on with my dress, only to find a big knicker line - so not a good look!

I designated a realtive at the wedding to carry my handbag extra's that I couldn't walk around with all day - mints, hanky etc etc and then beforehand I asked her to find me every so after and particularly ask if I needed anything from the stash - there will be so many people talking to you that you won't get time to escape!. That's not a pregnancy point, just something that I found useful.

All being well, I'll be about 20 weeks pregnant when I get married : ) So following this thread to steal some tips!

Spanx make maternity pants called Power Mama - they are fantastic!!!! No lines and very comfortable. I have worn them under sheet type dresses during my pregnancy, to give your bump some support and smooth out any lumps and bumps lurking! www.expressyourselfmums.co.uk/details4.asp?ProductID=269&name=spanx-power-mama.htm

I meant sheer dresses, not sheet dress! He he

maybe engineer yourself 20 mins time out in a private room somewhere with your feet up halfway through the day? So you can recharge a bit...

I was 20wks when I got married.

I got some 'granny underwear' from BHS. Cost about 18 pounds. They were nude colour and went right up to just under my bra with legs like cycling shorts. Didn't hold me in but did give me a smooth line and were incredibly comfortable. I bought a size too big just to make sure they weren't tight.

I even have a picture of me wearing just them and my bra so I can show 'bump' that I was proud of her and she was part of our day.

I wore Sloggi pants on my wedding day. Massive white jobbies but really lightweight with no seams. They weren't pull in ones and I got them from John Lewis. I wasn't pregnant then but now I am pregnant I wear them even more!
Whatever you get, buy a couple of pairs so you can change if it's a hot day. Sorry if TMI but I was v sweaty on my wedding day!!

Time off your feet will be crucial plus making sure you have your toilet nearby/ easy access from your dress. Will someone need to help you? Plan that.

Get a bottle of that facespray water - Evian used to do one but there is a cheaper one in Aldi or Lidl now for 99p. You will get hot and you can spray it on and leave it to dry without worrying about your makeup.

Congrats on the baby and the wedding! And I know you'll have heard this from everyone but it really does go fast so be sure to stop and think on the day, during it, as it'll be over in a flash!

good tips I'm going to watch this thread too!
I'll be 34 weeks and we're camping, mental much?!

dappymoo · 25/06/2010 06:51

camping at our wedding I mean...supposedly....

Lulabel27 · 25/06/2010 11:03

dappymoo that sounds mental - good luck!!
I'll be 19 weeks when I get married (not perfect planning!) and the wedding is in Mallorca so worried i'm going to die of heat exhaustion - plus I have some killer heels to where which I'm determined to continue to wear!

The doc said I shouldn't "look pregnant" just a bit chubby so I think my sheer, floaty style dress should cover it but thank you so much for the link for the Spanx MtnBikeChick they look ideal

missdt · 25/06/2010 12:54

Ha dappymoo you're braver than me!
I'll be 28 weeks at my wedding and wearing flip flops, which was what I wanted to do anyway - being pregnant has given me a valid excuse.

I was worried about having the energy to last the day but I'm now starting to think time will just pass so quickly. At least I won't be drunk so I'll remember it all

redandyellow... the best advice I've had is "delegate" so I'm going to write a list of things that will need doing the day before/in the morning and ask people to do them. Many friends have offered and I'm sure it's the same for you - we have to make sure we take them up on it. I plan to ensure I have nothing to do except get ready. Oh and to get a good night's sleep the night before if that is at all possible - pregnant, height of summer AND wedding excitement?? Sleep??

Fab tips thank you! I think I am almost sorted. Dress fitting is causing a few problems as I keep expanding so she isn't finishing off until the last minute.

Congrats! I'd suggest putting on special all day sunblock in the morning, like P20 or Soltan Once, as you burn more than pregnant. Then you don't have to ruin your makeup by reapplying.
