OMG, the joys of Tesco delivery when feeling to sick to shop!

I had to share this wonderful moment with you all. Last night I suddenly remembered I could actually get shopping delivered, rather than wander around a hideous supermarket wondering whether or not i'll puke in the aisle.

I could have kissed that delivery man for bringing my shopping to me. I may feel like crap....but we have food! I can't believe how stupidly happy I feel. Must be hormonal!

That should be too sick to shop. Pregnancy brain.

Ah, but sometimes you're too sick even to think about food!

Rocklover · 24/06/2010 13:49

Yes, that is true, but I had to do something as my poor 5yo dd is eating crap and I am determined to stop that. DP does cook for us, but he gets in around 5.30 and she ends up not eating til 6.30/7pm.

I feel sick 24/7, but if I don't eat little and often I feel a whole lot worse, so at least I have stuff to eat now.

I have a vivid memory of retching whilst looking at the Ocado page .

Glad you have food - hope you feel better soon!

Lol Bram, I must admit I didn't enjoy thinking about what to get, but glad I did it. DP doesn't drive, so I always have to go to the shops with him so that I can drive the shopping home (so to speak).

At the moment I am not being sick, but feeling pukey all morning til night. Last preg I was in hospital through diahorrea and sickness, and I am looking to avoid that this time, so fingers crossed. By this time (8+5), with dd I had lost a stone, but I am putting weight on with this one due ti eating to keep the nausea down.

Scuse the ramble, must be the coke I've just drunk!

We've been internet shopping for months now - will never go back! Can't believe we ever wasted all those hours in the supermarket - and you end up spending less money too so well worth the delivery fee.

Yep, tesco delivery fan here. Used it since well before I got pregnant. Love that they carry it right into the kitchen for you. Sure I save money (even with the delivery charge) by not making impulse buys and being able to look up special offers.

Don't advise kissing the delivery men though.......

I used to get tesco delivery almost weekly before we moved, but once we moved we just started taking the trip to Tesco (often wanted house bits or some such that you cant get on a grocery order) but I am having a bad week this week so got a delivery.

I was - they brought it right into my kitchen, and helped unload the boxes!!! That has NEVER EVER EVER happened before, it used to get dumped on the doorstep and that was it! They even offered to take any bags back for recycling..... I have told DH we are NEVER going food shopping again

Ive been having my weekly shopping delivered ever since I was pregnant with my DS, ie 6 years ago. And it makes such a huge difference, not having to take a baby/screaming toddler/annoying child around the supermarket each week
