Sharp pain last night

Hi all,
I'm 21 weeks pregnant. Last night I had a really sharp pain in my belly that lasted for a few hours. It was like a bad stitch and made it hard for me to move or breathe in. At one point it was so bad that I wondered if I should call a doctor, but eventually it went away.
It was just to the right of my belly button. I have a hard lump in that area anyway, which I thought might be the baby's head/bum.
The pain has gone now.
I haven't had any bleeding or other symptoms.
Does anyone know what might have caused it?
It was quite near the surface rather than deep inside.
Thanks

Hi,
sometimes I get a sharp pain if I turn over suddenly in my sleep or move awkwardly and I think it might be where I'm pulling muscles/ ligaments? It feels kind of muscular anyway, and like a stitch. Feels better after a warm bath/ shower and rest, and I try to take it easy with moving/lifting etc now as I think my muscles are extra wimpy at the moment! Usually it's just when I'm asleep I forget..!

But if you're worried check with the ol' midwife or doc, they can put your mind at rest. I should probably take my own advice as I've been worrying it could be my fibroid too...
