I want to see if what you come up with is anything like the dates I have been given.

My egg collection was on 22nd March. The embryo transfer was 25th March.

thank you.

due date 13 Dec according to Fertility Friends calculator. The egg collection date is used as the date of conception and the embryo transfer date is irrelevant, I think

so you are 14+3

congratulations!

Just 14 +3?

wouldn't that make me 15 weeks today?

sorry typo - it's 14+6

Ah cool - they say my due date is 15th and although it's only 2 days it's a bit annoying as I know exactly when I conceived.

That's odd - when I conceived through FET the 6 and 8 week scans put the baby a couple of days ahead in terms of growth but they didn't change the due date because, as you say, it was known exactly when I conceived. I would be a bit annoyed by this as well (though don't know if it makes much difference in the long run!)

DuelingFanjo · 21/06/2010 12:48

sorry - what I wrote is totally wrong. i was originally told 15th (dated from egg collection) but they ahve since told me 11th which means I concieved a few days before my egg collection.

I think it should be 13th or 14th.

Hi Dueling - same here. I know exactly when egg was introduced to sperm in test tube, which puts my due date at 22 Nov, but the 12 week scan put it at 17 Nov - quite a lot earlier. Now a bit about possible big baby and associated fanny-shredding...

DuelingFanjo · 21/06/2010 13:49

When I went for my 12 weeks scan I was by my estimates just 13 weeks. The baby measured 13 + 5 which was a bit of a shock!

I know they say the machines can be a bit out but I too am worried about a big baby!

My other worry is that they will sy I am overdue before I actually am and they might try to onduce me which I really want to avoid.

I think if you tell your midwife about it nearer the time they should take it into account.

I'm 40+2 now but 40+3 by IVF dates (admittedly hardly anything in it) but amongst my counterparts on a fertility forum some people have been dated much further out or back than that and everything's still been ok.

Mind you nothing quite takes away the big baby fears. Mine was mostly average-sized when I had a 32 week scan except for a rather large head that I'm panicking about pushing out :D

FortunateHamster · 25/06/2010 00:13

take into account re.induction, I mean!
