Feeling the baby with an anterior placenta.

As the title suggests I have an anterior placenta. I am currently just over 23 weeks and haven't felt the baby move. However, last night I could feel the odd popping and my husband could feel it too. Could this be the baby, is it right that I can feel the baby before/at the same time on the outside as I can on the inside? Is it just wishful thinking because I want go feel the baby so much? I was also quite gassy last night (lovely!) so I guess it could have been that! Hmm!

I have an anterior placenta and was late feeling movement about 24 weeks to be totally convinced - no one was worried and now at 30 weeks and he is kicking me now!

It does feel like popping (altyhough to be sure make sure you aren't gassy at the same time!)

Is this your first? Its usually later as you aren't sure what you are looking for.

I was late feeling movements with my anterior placenta about 26 weeks was when i felt definite movements.

I had an anterior placenta. I could feel dd from about 17 weeks but it wasn't what you'd expect. Like when you have very loud music and stripped floorboards and you can feel the beat vibrating. Except inside you.

Don't worry. You'll feel just as much as those with a posterior placenta once they're big enough to hook their feet in your ribs/kick your bladder/stick their foot out your sides.

I have an anterior placenta this time & felt movement quite early on but think thats party cos I knew what to expect. There does seem to be a 'blsnk' patch where I don't feel anything and thats where the placenta is. I get a lot low down and towards my left side.

Won't be long before baby discovers the trampoline which is your bladder. I practically lived in the bathroom yesterday

I have an anterior placenta too, and didn't feel movement till 16 weeks which is late for me (baby no. 3)
I have a definite 'blind spot' on the front where I can see the baby moving but can't feel it, although everywhere else I am now getting increasingly hard kicks, especially on the back wall.
I'm also beginning to be able to tell where the baby's back is and am usually proved right when the kicks come on the opposite side!
I'm sure a lot of it is down to recognising the feeling, when the movements get stronger you will realise it's what you have been feeling all along.
I'm 22 weeks btw!
