Hi lovely ladies, hope you are all well and any bumps and potential bumps are behaving Well this is just a quickie to ask about toher peoples' experiences. According to my LMP I think I'm about 8 weeks with number 1 (got my dating scan tuesday) and obviously shouldn't be showing yet but am so bloated I do actually look quite pregnant. Which when I haven't told all my colleagues is difficult to explain away other than 'yeah,I've have put weight on' (in this perfect little round bump and nowhere else. Well apart from my boobs lol ) So what I'm getting round to (eventually) is did anyone else find this so early on? Feel quite tight and uncomfortable across the tummy too.

Hi MissC...

I a 17w now but I remember being SOOO bloated and uncomfortable at the beginning ('bump' was bigger in the evening a lot of the time) but I just got away with it by telling people I thought I had a food allergy (which also excused my general feeling crappy as well as the bloating). I've also heard that if it's your second baby you 'pop' out a lot quicker. However, since I hit about 12w I noticed my bloat bump becoming a lot 'harder' than bloat and actually started growing!

I was also enormously bloated in the first few weeks - before my morning sickness kicked in my stomach was already incredibly uncomfortable because it was so bloated and full of trapped wind! I did find that this settled down though, and now (at 24 + 3), I don't really have any bloating, although no doubt it will kick in again towards the end.
