we were going to start conceiving in a few months!

I already have an 8 month old and wanted to start for another in August,

I had been feeling a bit off for a few days and had no idea, I had a few pulling feelings in my stomach. I tested (using the huge stack I had from first pregnancy, obsessed much!?) and it showed positive right away!

We had been pretty careful and I am still breastfeeding so thought the chances were slim.

I am over the moon but have no idea how pregnant I am.

The last time I had my period (and only time I have had a period since baby was born) was the first week of May, not sure it is reliable because of the way breastfeeding interferes with the cycle.

Can I think I'm 7 weeks pregnant!? Hardly had any symptoms!!!!

Also, 16 month age gap? Am I crazy!?

Wow! Not crazy at all. Congratulations!!!

I would have gone for 16-18 month gap but DS2 had other ideas and i have exactly 2 yrs between them.

Tis fab - they will be in nappies together and DC1 will be too young to get jealous.

congratulations! dont worry about the gap, i had 11 months! there are pros and cons to each!

enjoy!

The first day of my last period was 7th may so I'm now 6+ 2 or something if that helps

Congratulations.
Im 35wks with DC4 and I have 18 mths between DC1 and DC2 then 15 mths between DC2 and DC3. I love having them so close together and would have had this one sooner (gap will be 35mths between DC3 and DC4) but had loads of events that I didnt want to be pregnant for.

close gaps are brilliant

congratulations.

ime when your period returns when breastfeeding it comes back as a normal cycle... it's only it starting back that's delayed by bf-ing. so it sounds like you had one period and got pregnant on your next cycle.

Congratulations! Yep I agree with all the posts - small gaps are lovely as they do everything together and rarely get jealous, (but can compete for my attention sometines. I have a 15mth gap between DS and DD2 - they are best buddies most of the time, and are both doing the potty training game (at 2.7 and 16mths) because DD2 thinks she is a year older and wants to copy DS!
2 and a half years between DD1 and DS, was nice as she was more verbal, but got far more jealous when DS was born, and she also regressed quite a bit.
Luckily, I got my wish for another close age gap - 4th DC is due in November, and when DD2 will be 21 mths :D
