feeling faint?

I am on labetalol for high blood pressure and was told I had mild preeclampsia at 30 weeks. Today I woke up feeling slightly "off" but not too bad by lunch time I felt very faint and nearly fainted (edges of vision started going black). I feel quite unwell and weak but have never had this before as a symptom of high blood pressure so not sure if I just need to rest it out?. I have a home monitor which says my blood pressure is ok but it also keeps saying "error" which doesnt fill me with confidence!

Does anyone else have this?
I am 33 weeks btw .

I have no experience and no idea but this sounds very worrying to me, I would ring your hospital asap and see what they say.

Are you anaemic? That can cause fainting.

Fainting is caused low blood pressure. The meds could be making your bp erratic - that would explain the faint and the issues with the monitor. I would call the midwife if you can and rest with your feet up and plenty of fluids until she can get back to you.

I'm 39 weeks, and my blood pressure is normal, but do keep having the odd near miss of fainting?
I cut my finger about 3 weeks ago, and nearly fainted twice!
A horse stood on my foot this week, and again had to lie down, as I was about to faint?
Never had this before, untill I was about 35 weeks with this pregnancy.
I went shopping this morning for a few hours, and when I came home, I got the shakes, went cold, and had to lie down again!
I had put it down to the heat?
But if you have had high blood pressure, maybe you should go to a local pharmacy, as they will check you out if you can't get round to a midwife?

hi well I had a nap and the same thing happened again so with my history and the fact I already know I have preeclampsia I decided to call the hospital (the only bit open is the labour ward today). They said they were too busy to call the out of hours gp - who didn't answer but redirected me to NHS direct who have no apparently left a message for the out of hours gp to call me back. So no idea what's going on there, I dont seem to be able to actually see anyone so I am lying down in bed and hoping its nothing too serious.
