Does it really make a difference to test first thing in the morning as opposed to the middle of the afternoon?

Trying to decide whether to wait or nip to the shops tp get a test. FWIW I think I am about a week late and will probably get a digital test....

Are you talking about pregnancy tests?

Yes, morning test is best as thats the most concentrated sample so a positive test will show up nice and strong. (getting a faint positive test isnt a nice, believe me!)

However, most shop bought tests these days are sensitive enough for any time of day. But my advice would be go with the morning sample.

Whatever you do, dont buy the digital clearblue conception indicator!! Loads of threads on here about how inaccurate it is!

Good luck.

Probably not so much if you are a week late, the HCG levels are more concentrated in the morning so important for early tests. Wait until you really need a wee if you are doing it in the afternoon.

thanks will wait till morning.

Just to clarify....what I meant about the faint positive is that this can either mean there is something wrong (just a biochemical pregnancy or an early miscarriage) OR it could simply mean you've drunk too much during the day and diluted your urine too much if you're testing in the afternoon.

Believe me, you dont want to be in that position where you are wondering which it is!!

if your 2 weeks late it wont matter what time of the day it is, it will show up if you are .

good luck

Morning and use a first response (non digital) test.

I tested at 3+5 in the evening and got a strong positive, with a Tesco's test, so my be worth you getting some of those - they're nicee and cheap too.

Good luck.
