Have posted this in my ante-natal thread but thought I'd try here too.

I am looking for some advice really. Last night I felt an odd sensation in my right side, sort of in my hip/groin, along my knicker line. I wouldn't even use the word pain, it was more just like an odd/warm sensation. Didn't feel it today at work but then again this evening I am conscious of it. I also have also noticed when I sneezed today that I have felt a pain, but on the other side, and now I have the odd "twingy" feeling on both sides.

I am driving myself mad worrying, wil be 8 weeks tomorrow. Does this sound normal or is it something to be concerned about?

Sounds normal to me. You can get all sorts of twinges due to the uterus stretching and your muscles relaxing. Try not to worry.

I'm getting these all the time moulesfrites and I'm 8 weeks today!

I had them when i was pregnant with ds, especially when i sneezed! Try not to worry, i know it feels weird but as Lynli says, its just your uterus stretching.

I'm 7+5 moulesfrites and have had the same thing - like a warm sensation, almost a burning but not quite and in the same place you describe. I've also had twinges randomly and a couple of times on sneezing (blinking hay fever) and stand up - almost like nearly a pulled muscle but then it's fine a second later..

I'm hoping it's all normal too...

oops I meant standing up

moulesfrites · 16/06/2010 21:28

Dee it sounds like we are having the exact same thing! Yes, burning sounds overly dramatic but it is like a very mild burning sensation, and it sometimes moves upwards towards my hip. From googling, it seems to be round ligament pain, but i think I am just panicking about every twinge and am still at the knicker checking stage every time I go to the loo! Fingers crossed we will be ok!

I hope so !! I know what you mean about every visit to the loo and every twinge makes me a little paranoid. We decided having a scan might help so I'm having one done privately tomorrow (I'll be 8 weeks) so fingers crossed everything will look like it should do.. will keep you posted.
