Hi, this is my first post!

After a couple of negative PG tests, I found out I am PG a couple of weeks ago. Yesterday I had a dating scan which put me and junior at 10 weeks. Yes, there is definitely a baby in my tummy! It feels real now.

My husband is adamant we shouldn't tell anyone until we have the all-clear at the 12 week scan (except my mum, thank goodness) but I'm finding it hard. I swear that a couple of people at work have guessed, as has my mother-in-law who has never before seen me refuse alcohol in the 10 years I've been with her son. I've put on a bit of weight, my skin has broken out, and I am exhausted!

I know husband's being sensible, but is anyone else out there trying to pretend everything is normal? I'm such a rubbish liar!

I told people that I knew would be supportive of me if something went wrong with the pregnancy. God forbid. They are the people who will be truely joyfull at your wonderful news!
You're doing fantastically to be at 10 weeks. Hope you've been out and bought a couple of pregnancy books. I poured over them during the whole of my pregnancies. A day to day one and a week to week one cover everything.
CONGRATULATIONS!

Thanks so much for the replies! It's sinking in a bit more now. My husband has bought loads of books, including the Mumsnet PG guide which I've been reading - it's really great, good advice but funny too - I've laughed until I've cried the comments are so on the nail.
