I'm 26 weeks and still find it comfortable to do this . Having an anterior placenta I wondered if it is harmful to my baby. Silly question?

Dunno the answer, but would like to know too. I also like to sleep this way and everyone tells you on your back is bad, but no real clarity as regards lying on front... I'll watch with interest .

I was told that it's fine until it gets uncomfortable. The baby is very well protected.

I'm 35 weeks and I sometimes sleep on my front - I figure if baby objected that much he'd kick me and I'd turn...

My yoga teacher said it's supposed to be ok if you put a pillow above and below bump so you're not actually putting too much weight on your belly. Hope it helps!

Phew, although I obviously do it when I'm asleep so can't do the pillow thing , cor skihorse!

33 weeks with anterior placenta here and still spend time lying on front, don't seem to need the pillows above and bump either - it just seems to spread sideways

I have got very broad hips though, do generally have one leg bent up to the side so not totally flat, plus baby is lying sidways so bump doesn't stick out that far out in front......

I always sleep on my front and have never managed to sleep on my side or back. However, at about 19 weeks it became a bit uncomfy (and I got poked!).

Without wanting to sound like an advert, I bought a Dream Genii pillow the other day. I have slept on my back and/or side every night since and have slept really well! Not a minute on my front! It felt a bit extravagant when I bought it cos it's £42 but in my opinion it's worth every penny if it helps from now until 40 wks. Just a thought...
