11 1/2 weeks and some spotting

Hi All, I wonder can anyone help, I had a datin scan at 10 wks 4 days and all was fine, heartbeat heard and baby wriggling about. Today I am 12 weeks tomorrow and last nigh I had a small amount of blood in my pants, darkish red. I have no cramoing and no colouring after wiping. Did anyone have the same thing. I have no bleed now in 12 hours.

Hi Vegas...I had spotting too at 12 weeks, had a scan and was told that around the 11/12 week mark spotting can be common as the placenta takes over. Was also told by my obs/gyn dr that spotting can happen at this time because the placenta is still lying very low. It should clear up later on as it lifts. Hope this helps you could always ask for an EPU referral for reassurance. Good luck I know how worrying it can be x

Thanks very much for this, I appreciate it, 1st pregnancy after a messy mc last october, thought the bleed was a little odd and only a small amount and no more now since about 8.30 last night, thanks, will keep an eye and contact doc if I get it again
