Well, half of them so far... the lower half of my nipples have gone a darker brown, it's almost like they've tanned... now I did put some of that tanning moisturiser on my fat belly the other day but I don't think it could have rubbed onto my boobs too easily unless my sagging problem is worse than I thought...

Nipples definitely bigger though, is it just that? I'm a bit worried!

Ah! Thank you!
God, there is some weird stuff that happens, how did people cope before without internet folk to ask everything?!!

I had to wear dark tops for the latter part of my 1st pregnancy - mine went really dark and showed through my bra and any white tops I wore! Also, I got a dark line from my belly button downwards (called a linea nigra) and the skin inside my bellybutton also went really dark! (Just to warn you of other possible weird things!)

I've often wondered about what people did before the internet too!

dappymoo · 15/06/2010 18:37

Thanks for the warning! Heck, I thought puberty would be the only time I was this weirded out by my own body, and that was yonks ago!
Although actually it's probably bad when you start getting grey pubes and stuff too... maybe there is no end to the weirdness...!!

Does the colour go back to normal after you give birth then? Please say yes...

Crapweasel · 15/06/2010 19:01

If you want to be seriously weired out, I have a small birth mark just under my left breast (can only see it in a mirror ) that my mother always said was a third nipple. I didn't believe her: until it changed colour during pregnancy!

LittleNutTree · 15/06/2010 19:05

Mine went back to almost the same colour sayanything, maybe a little darker than before. Definitely not as dark as they were, although I can't help being paranoid in a white t-shirt anymore...

Jacksmybaby · 15/06/2010 19:07

sayanything yes they do go back to normal colour at some point post-birth (can't remember exactly when).

dappymoo re being freaked out by own body in pg, I have a whole list of other stuff too including blood-tinged snot, hairy tummy and boobs, oh and yellow-scab-encrusted nipples... nice !!

Bumperlicious · 15/06/2010 19:11

Mine are the size of tax discs!

sayanything · 15/06/2010 19:12

Thanks, that's a relief. I'm already at 32w but I still get weirded out by them every day.

Nope its all normal, mine are really dark DP had to do a double take when he saw them afew weeks ago and even tho my boobs have got bigger my nips have gotten very big tho my boobs will catch up with them by the end.

Color wise they will never go back to color they were pre preggers they will always be abit darker but its nothing to worry about, you get used to it

ReshapeWhileDamp · 15/06/2010 20:25

crapweasel, I've got a 'supernumerary nipple' too, just where you said yours was, and I couldn't believe it when it got a bit larger and darkened just like the two real ones! It didn't lactate, though...

Am I the only one who really likes her nipples darkening during pregnancy? With DS, mine went from pale apricot beige to dark, dark brown and I loved them like that! I'm really hoping they go like that again. (I don't tend to wear pale clothing anyway!)

oldmum42 · 15/06/2010 20:26

All manner of body parts can change colour during preg - in addition to the nipples and dark line down the belly, dark skin in the armpits and genitals also very common and normal, and also lighter brown patches on the face/neck/anywhere else (!). All USUALLY return to normal or near-normal within a couple of months of birth.

CrankyTwanky · 15/06/2010 20:38

RWD, my DH likes them big 'n' dark. So do I.

SkaterGrrrrl · 17/06/2010 13:59

1pregheadpumpkin · 17/06/2010 18:50
