I'm 38 + 5 with baby no 2 and really fed up-been having really intense braxton hicks and period like pain for a couple of nights but just like DS1 (who was 6 days overdue) no signs in day. Thing is I feel very different from last time in that I feel emotionally drained and fed up rather than physically. Just keep thinking i would like to call the whole thing off now! Anyone else feel the same???

gaelicsheep & honeymoonmum - Thanks that makes me feel better. Was thinking its just going to get worse by the day until she comes out! You've given me hope

Athrawes - I too have picked up the strange idea that when's she's born I'll sleep MORE. I figure my OH can keep an eye on her for an hour or so every now and then - Oh what I'd do for an hour of uninterupted sleep right now......

rushinrussian · 19/06/2010 21:29

I'm 36 weeks today and totally fed up too. Aching everywhere, feel like a beached whale and finally on maternity as of Monday (yippy).
This is my second child and tbh i'm terrified of looking after my very active 2 yo full time as of next week (can't afford childcare when not fully paid). Also my mom who had hysterectomy 6 weeks ago is coming to 'help' from Russia for 6 weeks on Monday (its been arranged ages ago and can't cancel tickets now). So, basically, it will be me, a toddler and woman in her 60s after operation and (at some point) a newborn - what a company Haven't seen my midwife for nearly 4 weeks (due for app next Tuesday) so don't even know how fully the baby is engaged, but feel a lot of pressure on my bladder and started to waddle.
Needed a winge, really... Sorry if it is too much.
Anyone else is tempted to start having wild sex, eating hot curries, smelling Clary sage and drinking raspberry leaf tea as soon as baby is full term (37 weeks+)?

thislittlesisterlola · 21/06/2010 09:35

Hi all, any news? Rushinrussian I hope this wk goes ok for you, sounds quite a whirlwind. I am fed up, had bad back ache on and off this morning, period pains and had been having bh's over last 24 hours. So... I get all excited something might be happening but alas this has mounted up to nothing. Pains gone and i am bored. How is everyone else?

bananagirl85 · 21/06/2010 09:54

this thread has made me feel better its not just me im 38 week today saw MW on friday who said baby's head is well engaged i feel so tired all the time and really lazy cant wait for it to be over i keep talking to bump explaining the way out but she is ignoring me lol this is my first so im glad to read what im feeling is normal thanks everyone

nikkisbump · 21/06/2010 09:58

Hi ladies! 39+1 here, DC1 due on 27th June, and thoroughly fed up now. I haven't had so much as a twinge, niggle or sign and feel like I will still be pregnant well into July!

I am really enjoying the weather though, it has been so sunny! I've been in the garden with my book and some cold raspberry leaf tea (much prefer it to hot!) every day.

I've been 3/5 engaged since 32 weeks and midwife says that's great as he is staying in the right position. Not so great when it's bloody uncomfortable and I can't walk for longer than an hour before waddling/nearly wetting myself!

Getting dressed is SO irritating as well, only about 5 of the items in my wardrobe now fit so I'm currently rotating them. Have been living in my maxi dress for a few days!

Oh well - not long to go now. Just want to meet my LO! Good luck everyone

WillowM2B · 21/06/2010 10:01

Ahh, a thread to whinge

3rd DC - 37 weeks, exhausted, SPD, can't sleep, heartburn from hell, waddling like a duck as baby trampolining on pelvic floor then headbutting pelvic brim - bloody painful - Fed up of BH contractions as they are becoming very uncomfortable.

I am just generally in a foul mood, very restless but unmotivated.

Oh, and the bloody cat was sick at the foot of the stairs so trod in that. Little wanker.

3 more weeks...

beanlet · 21/06/2010 10:20

My husband has gone to IKEA all by himself today, and even though I really wanted to go with him and feel guilty for not going, I can't, because I can no longer sit up for long periods of time without being my bits being in pain :-(

Plus, I'm now bored stupid. Thank god my parents are coming next week!

thislittlesisterlola · 21/06/2010 18:12

Hurray I thought it was just me with problems standing or sitting for too long, general frustration and oh the boredom. I too am explaining to the babe where the exit is and would he mind terribly making his way to the department lounge... Sadly he's not listening. Also BH- i wish i could work out the difference between them and wind and baby seriously pushing down below. Ok. Whinge over. As you lovely ladies were

Principle · 21/06/2010 18:21

Im only 32 weeks but I really want mtime to fast forward a lil, getting quite fustrated and the lack of things I can do

Twig79 · 21/06/2010 18:30

I'm now 39+5 and thoroughly fed up - but also apprehensive, i want it out so i can meet it, but also have got used to having a rock hard beach ball shaped thing in my stomach and being tired. so trying to just take it easy and enjoy the peace and quiet. its my first, baby will come when he/she is ready and i guess there is nothing i can do to encourage it!

honeymoonmum · 21/06/2010 19:46

Hi all - started this thread last week and still here - now 39+4.

All signs of the baby coming out have stopped and have THE worst heartburn ever so can't even eat as a comfort.

The hollow shape under my 'belly button' keeps reminding me that this bloody child is still back to back and is going nowhere.

husband cannot understand why I'm soooo pissed off.

Just been to do some food shopping and we lived near glastonbury so whilst I waddle around the aisles picking up easy to cook, non-heartburn inducing (????) food I am greeted by the sight of young, slim, youths buying crates of beer and bbq food and heading into the sunset for a party.

I am SOOOOOOO bored!

Good luck all - enjoyed the whinge, thanks gals xxx

i think i lied in my last post - must have been having a good half hour. husband just reminded me that i haven't slept since february, retch at the thought of / speaking about/ in the company of food and seem to consume about 15 gaviscon a day, then the heartburn just gets worse, (leading to no sleep!) I'm with you honeymoonmum, this stinks!!

Twig79 · 21/06/2010 19:59

p.s. my baby is not even engaged yet - still floating free and kicking me in the ribs!! little bugger

sayanything · 21/06/2010 20:07

I'm only 33 weeks and utterly fed up already. Can't sleep, can't get comfortable and I'm extremely irritable, so DH bound to divorce me soon. Pah.

anyabanya · 22/06/2010 08:13

I am going to be 39 weeks later this week and am fed up and tired too. My feet ache so badly that I can hardly stand when I first get up in the morning, and the skin itself aches because of swelling. I move about the house very slowly. Got all excited when I had pain in the middle of the night, thinking it was finally happenening, but nothing. I so hear you honeymoonmum about the glasto crowds. Yesterday i was having a break at a cafe and a girl in her 20s walked past with her partner and a very little baby in the sling. This girl was gorgeous.... olive tanned skin, dreadlocks that really suited her, a little tank top and so slim, untrammeled by childbirth. I nearly sank through the flooor with jealousy! I am feeling very beached whale right now! I cannot stop eating chocolate and my face has expanded sideways.

thislittlesisterlola · 22/06/2010 11:30

honeymoonmum and twig I am with you this heartburn is bloody awful! How you didnt wallop those youth with their beer and burgers( i think pg has made me slightly aggressive)
anyabanya- chocolate i think is the only thing to keep sane- please add crips, ice cream and general junk food to this list. Its all I crave and I dont give in and end up with veg sticks
Its a gorgeous day but I have nothing to do or anyone to see tbh. I want milkshake and to not be affected by this bloody budget aswell just to add to my annoyance.
Havent had any pains today so still waiting.

del1 · 22/06/2010 15:09

I am 39+4, and can not see this gremlin appearing in 3 days!!
I absolutley love the sun, and want this thing out, so I can make the most of the good weather!
You can bet the rest of the summer will be crap, after suffering in the heat!
It is impossible for my feet to get any bigger!?
anyabanya I am with you on the chocolate fetish.
I have had to have a bar every day over the past 3 weeks!
Never bother with it usualy, so my arse has doubled in size! Feeling guilty, but sod it. will be able to diet soon ?
I even ate the big bar of chocolate we had in the fridge for Fathers day .
Infact, I am craving a KFC new milkshake thing they are doing, but too hot/fat/lazy to go!!

thislittlesisterlola · 22/06/2010 15:20

Is anyone else starving at the moment?

beanlet · 22/06/2010 15:23

Just got measured at Rigby and Peller for a nursing bra -- 36 H !!!! With room for engorgment obviously, but still; thought my breasts could hardly get any bigger!

honeymoonmum · 22/06/2010 19:44

Well just burst into floods of tears for no reason and wailed 'this baby is never going to come out' at my husband who said 'I can have sex with you if you like?' Trying to be helpful but last thing I want!!!!!!!!!! An hour earlier was telling my Mum what a good day i was having-extreme hormone alert!!!!

I then polished off about 5 mini caramel chocolate shortcakes (add that to the choc ice and fathers day choc in fridge - snap del1!!!!) I am such a lard arse and getting lardier by the minute.

Have NO tops which fit and feeling you beanlet my 32B's when non pregnant no longer fitting into my 34G pregnancy bras!!! Saggy torpedos!

Anyabanya I hate all slim young mums - they give us normal fatties a bad name (slight tongue in cheek to any skinnies out there!)

Get this baby OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OP posts:
del1 · 23/06/2010 08:57

Arghh, so annoyed this morning!!
I don't get chance to sleep in the day, having a 18 mnth old to look after, and boyfriend to clean up after!
As many of you are the same, is'nt it tireing in this heat?
So, when boyf decided to check out the new sports channels on sky (fitted yesterday)
I decided to clean - again.
He rolled his eyes and said rest.
So I said I was going upstaires to lie down, as I was too hot bored.
I had hoped he would come up and either give me a back rub, as it was aching, or at least give me a bit of sperm to maybe get this baby moveing
He came to bed at about 10:30, and said
'ARE YOU ASLEEP AGAIN'!
Cheeky f***g bugger!
Rant over !!

anyabanya · 23/06/2010 09:29

I am absolutely starving, it is like I cannot eat enough! And I have been okay throughout this pregnancy, eating normally, have not put too much weight on, but lately all I want is chocolate, and I am not even a big fan of chocolate usually. But it makes me sick quickly as we only have the really dark stuff.

Yes, i am also jealous of the slim young mums. I struggle with my weight at the best of times!

My aunt (who is obsessed with her weight.... serious eating issues) saw a photo of me last week and felt compelled to e-mail and say how 'impressed' she is that all the weight has gone onto the bump. I know she means well, but it sent me into a rage, that even at 9 months pregnant, my body is being judged and commented on. Of all the times to just give a woman a break!

honeymoonmum · 23/06/2010 13:23

I can't stop eating either and have managed to control weight gain to 2.5 stones (3.5 verging on 4 stone weight gain with DS!!!!!!!!!!!!) but now I am a choco/ice cream aholic.

I would actually go so far as to say i feel ill if I don't eat sweet things - really low blood sugar feeling-dizzy and pins and needles - horrible.

Just eaten 4 more mini caramel shortcakes which are now thank god, finished - as am I!!!!

Had enough - due tomorrow and not a peep.

My 2 year old has also decided he does not need to sleep for past 3 afternoons which means no rest for Mummy either-given up on cleaning today - it's just too hot.

I want out of this now!!!!

Hi all...

mrshooper1990 · 22/05/2014 13:41
