So was your first child from IVF? If you already have a child through IVF it is very unlikely that any PCT will give you funding for another free NHS go.

As for the sperm, when you say 'deform sperm' do you mean that this abnormal morphology is high? The World Health Organisation (WHO) sets guidelines about what is 'normal' or 'abnormal' sperm. The standard guideline on morphology is that anything up to 70% abnormal is fine and is likely to lead to a pregnancy. However, they have just changed the guideines and I believe that they now consider anything up to around 90 odd% to be 'normal'. But if you were trying for 8 years before with no luck then it may be that it is unlikely.

Sperm quality can be improved through lifestyle changes though. Healthy diet, exercise and certain supplements your GP can prescribe can all improve his sperm quality.

There are always other options such as IUI which are much cheaper than IVF but still give you intervention. (although IUI success rates arent as good as IVF).

Hope this helps, and good luck.

If time is running out and you desperately want another child. You have no funding so maybe donor sperm could be the answer. It took 8 years for the first so it may never happen again. It's just a thought.

Oh and good luck to you in your quest.

thanks 1tiredbonny about you time, its help me to read your message,I realy dont know about how is his abnormal morphology, the doctor in the first tests said that his sperm was low after few months it went up, but they said that its deform, they also said that it can return to normal, but I am not sure, my husband had daugther before in his previous relationship, I dont have no problem getting pregnant at all, I had a lot of checks, is their any food that will help to improve the sperm. I will try that.
thanks

hi, sorry it wasnt IVF it was ICSI when they take the eggs and inject it with the sperm because they have to choise the good sperm.
