I'm bored, so thought I'd ask what you lot would do!!
I am 38+2, and decided to go away for a few days tommorow, with DH and DS.
It is only a hour and half drive from home. There is a hospital half a hour away!
When we return I will be 39 weeks.
I was on time with first, and it was a very quick labour from as soon as I stood up and got in the car to go to hospital. ( wanted to push within an hour of contractions starting)
We fancy one last little break for the 3 of us, before the next one.
Do you think I am tempting fate, by going out of my comfort zone?
Or should I stay put being so close to due date, and considering my quick first labour?
I have heard that the second is usualy quicker?
What d'ya fink?

There's a hospital 30 mins away- if you're happy with going there if it comes to it then go for it, as long as you will be comfortable.

As long as you take your notes can't see a problem. I had a very quick labour with my 1st 2 hours and 5mins from start to finish. I have been told by my consultant it isn't a definate the next will be quick. I would go for a nice break if I were you.

Whatever makes you feel more relaxed! If you've got your notes and there's a hospital 30 mins way and a break would help the 3 of you all chill out together before the new arrival then I can't see it being a problem.

If you're worried about it tho, then maybe the break would cause you more stress than doing you good.

Only you know how you feel about it tho!!

Well, I went, and enjoyd a great few days in the sun relaxing! Oh - except today, when a horse stood on my foot whilst I was wearing flip flops.
Can't move my toes now - ouch!!
But can't tell if it is swollen- as both feet are massive ballons anyway at the moment !! lol
