Come and sympathise, or share your secrets if you've been there and found a solution.

Oh my god, yes! Am sat here, absolutely knackered and knowing I should make the most of this time as everyone keeps telling me, but then it's so uncomfortably hot, and I have to get up at least twice to go for a wee, and the bump is really heavy and quite uncomfortable to turn over....and am starting to get a bit terrified of the whole giving birth part....

gaelicsheep · 11/06/2010 23:46

God yes, the birth part. I am terrified and just want it over at the same time (second time around for me). I'm convinced labour will start at night like it did last time and I keep wondering/hoping that tonight's the night (and hoping it isn't in equal measure).

We don't have a heat problem up here at all, but I'm still getting heartburn (not as badly as a few weeks ago) and sleeping semi upright and that makes my pelvic area really uncomfortable so I can't move position. Then I try lying on my left side (desperately trying to keep baby LOA this time) and that makes me burp all bloody night. It's so crap!

Hi, i'm not imminent, as i'm only 6 months, but i'm as big as any 9 month due to the fact that it is twins.
I'm in a never ending cycle of not being able to sleep at night and then being so tired during the day that i need a nap (longest nap being 3 hours! with wee break) and then i'm not able to sleep at night. ARGH.
I wish i only needed the toilet twice. My recored is 5 times. On average i go every 2 hours. I did try to drink less at one point but knew it was only a short term solution and it didn't make much difference anyway. I could literally pee for Britain!!!!!!

gaelicsheep · 12/06/2010 00:22

I have the same problem with the vicious cycle of nap, not being able to sleep at night, needing a nap, not being able to sleep at night, etc. etc. As you say - AAARGH!

Me too.... a week today till me due date, and Ive given up with sleeping at night. Too blooming warm even with the fan on, plus DH fidgets the whole night. I know if I go to sleep i'll be awake every 2 hours wanting a wee. I keep trying to not have a drink late at night, but Im sooooo thirsty all the time!

For some reason I keep thinking that Im going to go into labour at night (possibly because most of my BH are at night).

What makes it worse is there is never anything on TV, so I just sit on MN or FB eating jelly

gaelicsheep · 12/06/2010 00:32

What is this warmth that you all speak of?!

Only 35wks but stuck in a 'not sleeping but knackered' rut

Ladylou83 · 12/06/2010 00:44

Its very warm and muggy in Exeter tonight

gaelicsheep · 12/06/2010 00:46

Not so in Highland! I'm glad about that though having been heavily pregnant in England in July 2006 - not good at all!

Mumsnet's moving slowly, I'm bored and have just munched my way through half a large bag of Kettle Chips and downed a glass of banana milk. Cue horrible acid indigestion when I do finally go to bed

Umph. I went to bed at about 12.30am but here i am awake at 4.50am. Second time this week. Last time i ate some cereal (ditto) and went back bed at 6.30, so we'll see.

gaelicsheep I ate a full 500ml tub of ben and jerry's choclate icecream about 11pm last night! I don't know what's worse -that i ate the full tub, or that i managed to eat the full tub without feeling in the slightest bit sick. It's a gift.

LittleMissSnowShine · 12/06/2010 08:06

I'm 30 weeks so still got a good while to go but keep waking up during the night - last night was having night terrors about giving birth. ho hum.

Ladylou83 · 12/06/2010 18:27

I dont think my body liked last nights late night portion of jelly. Sorry if TMI, but omg at 3am I had to spend an hour in the bathroom having the mother of all clearouts (both ends). It did bring on some contractions, which then decided to stop at about 6am......Hoping for some actual sleep tonight (wishful thinking)
