I am leaning towards not finding out myself (and I am the worst for suprises)!

I found out with my dd because I wanted to get prepared however we bought unisex colours with most things anyway. So this time I am thinking not because my dc is due early december and probably won't be buying much till the xmas sales.

Plus I think it can be fun when people try and guess r.e how your carrying etc

I think you have to go with your gut feeling; it's a very personal decision and people have quite strong feelings about it either way.

FWIW I have found out both times and have enjoyed having the suprise at 20 weeks rather than at birth (quite frankly giving birth was enough of a "surprise" IMO !!).

It is up to you but I will find out at 20 weeks that will be my surprise alot of people think I shouldn't but I know I won't be able to wait. It is your decision and your partners and I can see how it would meke the birth even more exciting for friends and family but I am too impatient!

Oooh, have a surprise then you can have another shopping trip when baby comes

berrycravings · 11/06/2010 12:03

I agree with everyone else, is a very personal decision, not one that anyone can really decide for you. My DH and I will be finding out, we're both so excited about our first that we just cannot wait!
