I'm guessing it's growing pains. Your womb is having to get much bigger than it's ever been before and the muscles are complaining.

Could also be implantation - the tiny embryo "burrowing in"

xkatyx · 10/06/2010 21:16

This is my 3rd baby, i just cant remeber what i felt the forst time with them, just so worried.

There not painful at all just i am aware and worried.

Hi I'm in the same position!
Is it tummy and / or back?

xkatyx · 10/06/2010 21:53

It's in lower tummy, and sides?

Not painful but i know there there, feel like very light period pains.

How many weeks are you?

Hi, I'm PG with my third, I had similar pains (a lot like period pains) from 4-8 weeks. They were constant, on both sides just above the top of my pubes. They worried me enough to book a reassurance scan at 7 weeks, I was convinced something was wrong because I never had anything like it with DS or DD. My midwife said it was most likely implantation, followed by the ligaments stretching. Try not to worry (I know tht's easier said than done!)

Julezboo · 10/06/2010 22:16

Also pregnant with third and getting the same pains, I am 4 weeks now.

xkatyx · 10/06/2010 22:21

oh thank you for posting, i was just looking it up on google, they say the more babies you have the more aches and pains.

Glad everything was good the scan Teddy

and congratulations julesboo, we must be due around the sane time, nice to have someone same stage with number 3

Hi xkatyx - how are you feeling today?

xkatyx · 11/06/2010 15:46

Hi,

Yeah ok today, little aches but ok. felt a little sick today too.

I have had these aches since wednesday on and off, and everyone on here and all pregnancys sites say that it is part of the symptoms.

Also i have been told the more babies you have the worse the aches and pains are.

Hi guys,

I've been reading this thread with interest as I have had a BFP, but it's my first, and my AF isn't due until Sunday, so I am a little terrified!

I've also got pains in my sides and also a low pain that feels like my AF is coming and it's freaking me out. I've done 4 HPTs in 3 days, my DH is away and no one else knows i'm pregnant and I've been reading these boards all day (and have learned all the lingo!) trying to find out if everything's ok!

Good (in a way) to see that others at the same stage have these pains. I can't help just sitting here fretting. I wish that time would go quicker!

ellieinshock · 11/06/2010 17:56

by the way, meant to say, congrats to you guys on here who are pregnant, you all seem very nice and helpful!

whiteliesaregoodlies · 11/06/2010 18:01

Ligaments! Have had it in all 3 pregnancies. Don't worry - and congrats!

ProfessorLaytonIsMyLoveSlave · 11/06/2010 18:02

I've had cramps around 5 weeks with both of my successful pregnancies and not with the three that ended in early miscarriages, so I would try not to worry too much if I were you.

xkatyx · 11/06/2010 18:06

Congratulations ellienshock, this is my 3rd baby and i know 100% about the side pains had them, there just ligament pains.

And by the looks of it these period type cramps are normal, i was telling my mum today who said i was like this with my first 2 babies aswell (funny how you forget) i think with each stage there is a wory of some sort, but it's that we love our unborn babies already so much we worry

P.s well done learning all the lingo took me ages.

thank you so much all, it's all a bit much at the mo, and I keep bursting into tears, guess that's all part of it!

How lovely to be having a third, xkatyx, sounds like one never gets used to it all!

We shall all just have to try to relax and not panic... how I wish that I could get reeeeallly drunk!!!

xkatyx · 11/06/2010 18:27

I know i wish i could relax, sometimes i do then i think "oh no whats that pain" and just freak out ha ha ha.

I also got my first bfp last friday and was due on the sunday so that makes you exactly 1 week behind me how exciting.

xx

ellieinshock · 11/06/2010 18:34

Me too! I'm a mess, my DH thinks I've gone mad.

I actually got my first bfp on Tuesday, but didn't trust it until my 4th bfp today! Like he says, I've gone mad.

Feel very reassured about these cramps now, well quite anyway. Now I just have to go out to a client dinner and try to come up with believable excuses why I'm not drinking!!!

Have a lovely weekend all xx

whiteliesaregoodlies · 11/06/2010 18:43

Antibiotics or detox always great excuses.

ellieinshock · 11/06/2010 23:31

thanks whitelies, I used the detox one, worked a treat. Don't know if people who know me well will believe it though...! x
