Carpet cleaning

Another question - sorry. I am desperate to have the carpets cleaned in our flat. I know if I get in eco carpet cleaners they'll charge a fortune.

Is it dangerous toxin wise for baby if I get carpets cleaned regularly? I'll be out when they do it and maybe stay the night somewhere so i won't come back till following day...

I don't want to expose baby to anything horrid...

No idea, but glad you asked as my in-laws thought I was being silly when I said I wasn't sure if it was safe.
Will be watching this thread...

I hope not. I have just booked carpet cleaners for next week. It never crossed my mind that it could be dangerous.

Sorry Marrow, didn't mean to panic you - that's why I posted the question. I don't know the answer

Why would it be dangerous? Surely what they use is a form of detergent, they are not fumigating the place.

I don't know...I just figured they use quite harsh chemicals in the detergent, which releases toxic fumes. It sound stupid when I read it back but I'm sure I read it somewhere that it's not advised during pregnancy.
