I just can't help googling and watching all the different births and wondering how the hell mine is going to turn out...
And whenever I watch them my womb does odd things and baby goes mental!!

Hi Dappy - I was the same when I went on mat leave - one of the digital tv channels plays labour programmes practically all day. I used to sit watching them sobbing. sobbing with fear before I went into labour and sobbing with how "beautiful" it all is after labour DH could not for the life of him understand the fascination

Portland Hospital and the very medicalised US shows were always such civilised and sanitised viewing - nothing like reality!!

Yes, in all the american ones I have seen, they are all given an epidural as they come through the door, they lie around looking fully made up for a few hours, they tip the bed up so they are nearly vertical and push the sprog out! You never see them looking sweaty or writhing in pain like in the UK - not sure if there is a lesson to be learned or not!
