I can hear my heartbeat in my ear!!

I'm posting for a friend who's 23 weeks pregnant, she says she can constantly hear her pulse/heartbeat in her ear.....anyone have any ideas what it could be?

I've had this before - it went away in the end but I think it may be related to blood pressure.

Probably best that she tells midwife or GP.

I thought I was alone - it is driving me mad! Started at around 22 weeks.

I rang my midwife and apparently it is caused by the increased levels of blood flowing around your body.

Your friend has my sympathy!

i had the same...thought i was going mad!!! It does go away again.

Could be hypertension, could be a touch of middle ear effusion. She could nip to a walk in centre and get someone to have a quick peek in her ears and take her BP just in case. xx

I can hear mine, but only at night when it is quiet and when i lie on my right side. Thought someone was in the house at first- took me a minute to figure out what it was!

thanks- will pass it on. She's got an appointment at the doctors just to check it out. She'll be pleased it'll go I think it's driving her mad too!
