Bump size question - is this normal?

Hi all

Am sure I am just being a paranoid first time mum-to-be! I am 15 weeks and not a skinny girl. I can feel my uterus above my pelvic bone but have noticed that when I need a wee it is MUCH higher, almost at my belly button. Today it even felt more over to the right side. I know a full bladder can push things up but by this much? It's not like I have much capacity at the moment anyway (apologies for TMI, but from 13 weeks have been going non-stop having smugly avoided this in the early weeks).

I have had two scans, both looked good, and was told I have a retroverted uterus which has made me even more surprised at the changes in bump size!

Also - one more silly question - I am intermittently feeling a little sharp poke, sometimes a few in a row like a flutter but slightly uncomfortable - is this likely ligaments stretching or could it be the baby??

Thanks!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

All normal, don't worry. If you have had scans that showed everything to fit in with the dates then I wouldn't worry.

Don't worry about where you can feel the top of your uterus, it can be very difficult to know exactly what you are feeling and having a full bladder really will push it up a lot! Other things such as how full your bowels are etc will also have an effect (sorry TMI).

Also, by now your uterus may well not be retroverted - a growing baby will definately effect how your uterus lies and off to one side etc is all normal!

As for whether you can feel the baby moving, I don't know, I know some people have felt theirs move really early, so it my well be?

Anyway, Congrats and you aren't paranoid, we all are!! Especially us first-timers! There aren't any silly questions though! And I am sure there will be someone with more experience along soon to post.

Sorry for the long post
