We had a scan yesterday at 33 weeks and the baby is transverse, all my others were head down from about 28 weeks, and stayed that way! I have to have my baby early at 37 weeks due to preeclampsia, so has anyone else had this? will the baby turn?

thanks

My dd1 did this, I spent six weeks on my hands and knees, circling my hips, and leaping out of bed whenever she got active at night to encourage her to move....she did, and popped out like something out of all creatures great and small (according to dh anyway!)

Hi had my 3 baby dd3 was transverse and breech, spotted around the 33 week mark and I was told by mw that I was ok as she would move into position nearer due date....Well she never did!!!! and I had a very scary birth..emargency c-section blah blah blah(wont give you all the horrid details!!
My Mw/doctor were not very hands on and did not monitor me enough so please make sure you get all the care and advice so you know all your options.
My Dd3 is now 9 and she is just a delight took me a while to get over all the nightmare of her birth..Im currently 9 weeks pg with baby no4...ready for all the fun and games again
best of luck and I would definetly try advice given from sparklerainbow...wish I had been told that then

There's still time for the baby to turn. Dd was in a breech position until around 36wks. A week later a scan showed that she was transverse and I was told I might have to go into hospital until the birth. At 38wks she was head-down. She was my 3rd baby.

my 3rd baby was transverse at 33 weeks but by 35 weeks had turned head down although was always high up never dropped down. I was induced at 37 weeks and even an hour before se was born I was told she was still high up and not engaged. As soon as my waters went about 10-15 mins before she was born I felt her very low so I think she was just stubborn about getting in position. I was told that after a couple of pregnancies there is just more room for them to move around and they can take longer to get in position - dont know how true that is!
I am pregnant with number 4 now and this one has been head down since very early on but high up again.

thnak you ladies, its all reassuring would love to do lots of circling etc, but have severe spd so just resting up and keeping fingers crossed that by the scan in 2 weeks time the baby has moved and stays in place! feel a baby myself not wanting a c section, but would much rather an induction at 37 weeks
