Will I ever stop feeling sick? I'm 13+1 and am still being sick, really can't face it anymore

Can anyone promise me it will stop tomorrow

Hang in there it will improve eventually. It got better at about 17 weeks with my first, 33 weeks with 2nd and not sick at all with 3rd. I'm sure others will tell you it is different for everyone and different with each preg.

Hae you tried eating little and often? Try and get as much rest as possible.

cupofcoffee · 08/06/2010 09:26

Does your employer know about your preg?

Lavitabella · 08/06/2010 09:43

Yes, they have been great. I have been tranferred to a much easier unit, same job title, pay etc. Much less stress and only have 28 staff to manage rather than the 80 I had before! 20 min commute rather than an hour each way, very lucky really!

I'm having twins and have read that sickness is very common due to the high levels of hormones. I just had told myself that today would be the last day of sickness and I am being sick out of the window onto the patio (good job its raining )

have lots of sympathy from me!
congratulations on the pregnancy. I do hope it will ease off soon.

cupofcoffee · 08/06/2010 10:15

Glad you have a supportive employer, at least that helps a bit. Congrats on the twins. Will they be your first or do you have older dcs?

With DD2 i got so fed up of sickness that i went to see a homoeopath. She game me some tablets which worked brilliantly.

PixieCake · 08/06/2010 10:27

Huge congrats on the twins. Hang in there - it does get better x

Sympathy and empathy...I was sick the whole of my pregnancy . Once on the way back from work in the car I puked up all over myself. I thought I had cleared it all up until the next morning when I pulled down the seat belt...

Eating little and often helped ,sucking ginger sweets, lying down and sleeping a lot...

mistlethrush · 08/06/2010 10:42

I found accupuncture also helped... Hope it gets better soon!

parkj83 · 08/06/2010 10:58

I was dreadfully sick up until recently (am 25 weeks now, but really only been clear since about 22 weeks)

I found travel sickness bands helped loads. I wore them constantly, even overnight.

hugs and sympathy tho xx

Today will definitely be the last day of feeling sick and tomorrow you will wake full of energy and joy of being alive. The rest of your pg will be a dream, you will have your babies a week early with a pain free natural birth, they will be healthy and sleep and feed extremely well.

Well, live in hope!

bigmuther65 · 08/06/2010 11:58

congratulation on twins i am also pregnant with twins 11+5 today. Can,t wait for the sickness to end also feel very tired all the time luckely i don,t have to work, but i feel really usless at the moment as i struggle to even do the housework cooking etc.

catinthehat2 · 08/06/2010 12:03

Cool!

You didn't tell us which floor you are on tho'

Lavitabella · 08/06/2010 15:20

Thanks for the messages ladies, luckily out of my window is a little patio and I washed it away. When I told DP he said " Eurgh hope it didn't land on anyone!" which it didn't, can you imagine it landing on someone, the shame

First babies, we were very shocked but also very excited! I'm going to buy the motion sickness bands, also super exhausted. Didn't realise this pregnancy malarky was such hard work

LOL at throwing up out of the window!

I once fainted in a really hot stuffy meeting room. Fortunately I was sitting down cos I don't think I could survive the shame of swooning to the floor in front of clients.

When I had my DTs the sickness stopped around my 1st scan at 15 weeks. Although from about 20 weeks I had almost constant migraines. I think I enjoyed about 3 weeks of being pregnant!
