Unexpected 3rd pregnancy!!

Just discovered that I'm 6 weeks pregnant, I was booked to have an IUS fitted after my holiday.
I have 2 ds who will be 4 and just over 2 1/2 when its born. I had a miscarriage last year (that occasion was when we half heartedly decided to have another one and then said no lets stick to two so that was a surprise)but I was so cut up after the miscarriage that I said that I wasn't going to try again.
I am now in a state of shock and also hating this 12 week period, I lost my baby at 5 1/2 weeks so I've passed that milestone but one minute I'm happy and the next panicky.

Congratulations to you. Just try to relax, statistically this pregnancy should be fine.

I had an unexpected 3rd pregnancy which was shocking and difficult at the time, and for a while afterwards - had PND and bonding problems.

But she is now the best 6 year old and we don't regret it for a minute!

My third was a honeymoon baby and about 2 years too early, we'd planned a third but not until DC2 started school.
Anyway I nearly terminated for various reasons but didn't and then at the 12 week scan was told she had a heart defect and wouldn't survive.
From that moment forward I loved her with every bone in my body and she is a complete bugger, but a healthy one and she's brought us so much laughter and happiness.
The first 12 weeks I've always found dreadful, it can only get nicer and more exciting from then onwards.

I'm now expecting my 'unexpected third' baby. Only 8 weeks at the moment, but it has taken me a while to come to terms with the idea of 3 under school age, and all the practical issues like how do we fit 3 car seats in the back seat. However I am now just as concerned about loosing this baby as I have been able to other 2, so I definitely want him/her even if it wasn't planned. Once I have a scan and see it's really happening I'll be much happier and more relaxed about the whole thing. And if the nausea and tiredness would go away that would help too!

Thanks I think I'll feel better after the 12 scan fortunately I drive a VW T4 which can seat up to 7 so thats not a problem.

Got to have a nuchal scan and bloods done as I'm 37 and I'm told that the older you are the more likely you are to have twins!!

I've had a horrendous headache and felt sick all day, I was sick in the evenings with the boys but with this one its most of the time.

I am preg with an unexpected third. Was a shock for a while, but we have got used to the idea. I'll have three under 4. Hopefully they'll be great friends and take care of eachother.

Feeling sick is 'good'. Maybe you have a little girl this time ! .

I would have loved to have two big brothers. With your big car, maybe it should be twins too !

Good luck.

Please no twins, I keep you posted.

I had an unexpected 3rd (i was fully bf and on mini pill with ds being 4 mths old)we found out the weekend we moved home and had planned to extend before more babies. I had 3 under 3 and we were in shock for quite a while but if you met her she was just somehoe 'meant' to happen. Im now 34 wks with DC4 meaning Ill have 4 under 6. I LOVE having them all soo close.
Plus my 3rd pregnancy and labour was the easiest and quickest.

My unexpected 3rd baby is now a beautiful 4 year old

When I fell pregnant we were really upset as it didn't look like the right time at all. But it has all worked out perfectly.

Good Luck!

My second is unexpected but very much wanted, only financial reasons stopping us trying. I believe some things are meant to be and we will manage even if it's not the best time (he's due 31st August and I am studying for EYPS until December, not mention affording being on maternity leave!).

On the car front we have a picasso and although it's only 5 seats you can fit 3 baby sits in the back next to each other(I'm a childminder so regularly use all 3 seats).

I found the first 12 weeks harder this time around, so my thoughts are with you. Congratulations BTW!
