I've done something really stupid

I ran today at 37 weeks. Only about 100 meters in total, but now my pelvis really aches. I can't really walk without support.

Any ideas if I've done internal damage or just pulled a muscle or something?

I would check with your midwife but at a guess you may have just over stretched your pelvis, the bone in that area is very soft preparing for birth.
I have had some pelvic/groin pain throughout and once i googled it, my mind was put at rest but good to get it checked out for peace of mind?

Might feel better after a rest, my pelvis aches after a hard day but eases after I rest.

I think the baby is well protected inside its little fluid bag. Its just us that suffers when we over-exert ourselves due to hormones relaxing muscles and ligaments etc.

I was in agony yesterday after some over-vigorous hoovering, but I can feel her wriggling around like normal today.

The hormone relaxin will have acted on the ligaments of your pelvis to loosen them enough by 37 weeks to deliver the equivalent of a bowling ball - on the one hand this is completely necessary (& pretty marvellous of mother nature), however on the other hand it can leave the pelvis vulnerable to over-exertion. It is very unlikely you have done any lasting damage but it is probably advisable now to take it easy physically until your little one arrives to avoid any further stress on the ligaments.
Another thing to bear in mind is that these hormones continue whilst you are breast feeding, so bear that in mind if you plan to take up running again during that time.

Good luck!

Think it will only be you that you injured. You really shouldnt be running that far on. Try a cool bath (ice cold is great but not when you're that pregnant I wouldnt tyhink. And rest, and dont ift anything heavy all day today.
