I am due in 4 weeks but have history of early labours so MW getting things in place sharp.

Feeling like I have been pregnant forever this time it has been an exhausting hard slog and my SPD is now becoming unbearable.

Things all falling into place has made me sooooo excited.....i'm actually having a baby

Watch this bet it's the first time I go overdue.

Very exciting!
have you had a homebirth before? (Intrigued what is in the kit!!).

How exciting! I don't think I even got the HB kit or pool until after my due date. We only tried out the pool one day before the birth, it was fun!

It wasn't so much fun for the real thing though

Oh gosh Belgo can imagine what happened there?

Never had a homebirth before this is my 3rd baby first at home.
My Doula is lending me a pool so I will be bobbing about in that for practice

Kit is a big rucksack with attatchement for the entinox/oxygen cylinders.
The cylinders themselves, all the gloves sterile packs and gubins they have in hospital tubes and moutpieces and masks for the oxygen and stuff.

Should also have a doppler and medical kit (injections for placenta should I choose stuff like that) but my MW is giving me those next week as she has to collect them from the hospital not the department the kit cam from.

I was actually surprised at how much bits and pieces there were in there.

just typical births, not great but not disasters either!

We don't have entonix in Belgium so I didn't have that, but the midwives did administer IV antibiotics to me during labour because I was GBS positive. And they injected me with various things after the birth because I bled so heavily. There was also basic suction equipment which they used for ds, I don't think they needed it for dd2 but I can't remember.

It can't have been too bad because I did it twice at home!

I am really looking forward to doing it at home.
It will be so good to get into my own bed and have dh around and my friend afterwards.
As it's my 3rd my local hospital would want me out 3 hours after the birth so really what is the point.

There has been a few ahem disagreements with the MW to get to this point but we are finally there and just about ready to go.
GBS+ it has been hard enough agreeing on an on call date due to my early history, we still don't agree but have agreed to differ on that point.
