This is one particularly for anyone who has older DCs as well! I am recently PG again for 3rd time, DCs 1 and 2 are age 10 and 8. Geriatric mother now at age 37, first time round I was the youngest in the room at antenatal!

So what has changed in the world of having babies in the last decade or so? Obviously the babies are the same but the advice is different. I gather you arent allowed to eat peanuts in pregnancy any more, and drinking 10 pints a night is apparently frowned on too?

Actually you can eat peanuts as long as you have no close links to allergies i believe.

Oh yes, no alcohol whatsoever is the 'official' advice.

Erm, they still seem to come out the way way i believe.....

Finally, congratulations

CONGRATULATIONS

I'm 20 weeks with dds aged 10 & 8. Antenatal care seems a lot more basic (unless you continuously sleep and pass out so even the consultant gets worried )

Much more choice in the world of nappies, prams and everything else.

Alicetheinvisible - tks for the peanut tipoff!

Nymphadora - good to know there's someone else out there with a big age gap - what do your DDs think of it all?
