Bleeding at 34 weeks - advice please!

Just been to toilet and there was a small clot and a little fresh blood in knickers and more when I wiped.

Baby is happily kicking away, and has been all day. Not having contractions or anything like that.

Do I need to call midwives or should I just put my feet up and see if it stops?

No harm in calling midwife just for peace of mind. Its what I would probably do.

I'm 34 weeks too - this pregnancy seems to be lasting forever!

Hope alls well.

Thanks for the reply and sorry for disappearing!

I called the midwife and she said to go in to the labour ward for monitoring so I was there for a few hours waiting for the doctor to come and take a look up my undercarriage!

Neck of the womb is closed (good news) but they found an inch long cyst on the wall of the vagina which is likely to be the cause of the bleeding.

I've been referred for scan just to check that there's nothing to worry about so it'll be nice to see the baby again before it arrives.

I hope the next 6 weeks fly by for both of us

glad it was nothing too awful.

i must just stress that if you have bleeding/pass clots/ lose fluid in pregnancy, you absolutely have to seek medical advice.. in your case, it is a non sinister reason, for somoene else, it could be the placenta breaking away, which could be disastrous

glad all is ok and hope the rest of your pregnancy is stress free !

Thanks Lulu - yes agree that it's important to get checked out, I just wasn't sure whether at 34 weeks it's par for the course.
