had very high BP last preg but no other signs of pre-eclampsia, so they induced me, and this time my BP has been wonderfully normal and encouraging...til yesterday. i suddenly started feeling nauceuos yesterday arvo and rather weak, took my BP and it was up to 150/90 having been a lovely 127/77 the previous day! does this sound familiar to anyone??
i am loathe to call in medical help as i really badly wanted a natural birth this time, but i suppose i'll have to if theres something sinister going on.
urgh, feeling so sicky...

I'm afraid I am no help at all with BP's as I don't really understand them but what I do know is that, according to my midwife, most BP's go up when labour is imminent.

Perhaps google the signs of Pre-Eclampsia and check that you don't have any other symptoms (apparently you need to have 3 of 6 for them to diagnose you).

Having said that, personally, I would think that your health (and the baby's) is more important, so if you feel worried then better to get the baby out than hold out for a natural birth?

Good luck

p.s perhaps sit and have a drink, put your feet up and take yur BP again in an hour? Then decide what to do!

Definitely get in touich with someone medical. It could be nothing, but if it is serious wanting a natural birth is not worth putting you or our baby in danger (This is someone desperateløy wanting a VBAC this time, with as liitle intervention as possiblt).

Hope all goes well, let us know x

That is a big increase - what is it now?

well have just woke up after a nap, checked the BP and it was still high - 134/91...its that bloody diastolic that just wont go down!
can't believe ive managed to come this far with no problems and now am falling at the final stretch. gutted just cant describe it.

i dont (to my eyes) have any signs of swelling, no headaches or weird vision, just feel ridiculously sick - like first trimester sick! i suppose if they check my wee for protein that can be another indicator.

addicted - i didnt know that your BP shot up if labour was imminent - i'd much rather that than me and the baby getting sick. have had a ton braxton hicks lately...

Ok it's still up and you feel crap - you need to see a midwife TODAY. I know it's disappointing but you and baby can run in to all sorts of problems and you need to protect both of you.
Please ring your delivery unit and insist somebody sees you.
