date confusion/advice

My LMP was 1 May (I think), but since about the second week of May I've felt really queasy. Did a test last week and it was negative (too early), as 2 I did this weekend were both positive : )
But, when I use various date checkers, it reckons conception was around 17 May - isn't that too early to be showing now? And I was feeling sick before then...
Doesn't really matter, am just a control freak/curious first-timer! Any advice welcome! I personally reckon conception was between 8 and 13 May...
Thanks!

When were you expecting AF? If you test after that date and it is positive then congrats.

Personally i have only heard of false negatives then false positives!

I'm not clear from your OP what you are confused about (congratulations btw!); do you know when you ovulate? The date checkers you are using might be as a default putting you as ovulating on CD14, which may not be helpful if you ov on CD8, as you are indicating as possible in your OP.

I would say 4weeks pg a little early for showing, but who knows? Are you choosing to have a dating scan, because that may well clarify things for you.

Just to add to the mix, I felt really sick and had sore boobs at least 4 days before AF was due and test was negative until 2 days after AF due, go with your gut instincts for now and then when you have 12 week scan work from that date?

Do you mean showing on a test? I tested positive at 9 days post ovulation with 2 pregnancies. And I was vomitting from about 8 days post conception, so already knew tbh. I have morning sickness for days before I'm even late.

Oh, right, did you mean showing as in on a test like SoH said? No, not too early. I meant yes I think it's too early for a bump!

Unless you have very short cycles, 8 May would certainly be too early for ovulation. A test can go positive as soon as a day or two after implantation, which takes place 6-10 days after ovulation and fertilisation. So 17 May sounds fine.
