Hi,

Does anyone know if it's safe to eat bone marrow while pregnant?

Thanking you kindly!

Not ever heard of it being specifically ruled out, but I know you shouldn't eat offal or brains. Is there a specific reason why you want or need to eat it?

I just have a craving for it and I'm going to a restaurant that does a good line in it tomorrow! I'm sure I can manage to steer clear if need be; I can't find anything about it specifically. Better safe than sorry...

I thought that was off the menu after BSE etc

If they are serving it though it must be fine

I would say same rules as meat apply ie as long as it's cooked through it's OK

Can't you eat offal? I thought it was just liver?

All of this advice is confusing and contradictory TBH.
