Hello ladies,

I live on the border of Deptford/Greenwich, so not too far either

6 weeks pregnant with the first. Very nervous until we pass the 12 week mark....

Lovely to have more mums and mums-to-be from SE London here.

Mae34 · 29/05/2010 13:12

Hello there - 40 + 4 with first and very fed up with waiting! I'm in Peckham...

CheeseChomper · 29/05/2010 17:03

Hi ladies! I'm in Beckenham so not too far away from most of you.

Podpod- i'm also about 5/6 weeks, and am bursting to tell people, but can't relax until after the 12 weeks scan- The suspense is killing me already!

Stokey38 · 29/05/2010 17:44

Podpod and Cheesechomper - congratulations!

Mae34 - you have my sympathies!

SCGD - how are you feeling?

Hello, still no more baby news - 40+1 but my DD was induced at 10 days so not holding my breath. DD is 23 months and very lively and I am quite the opposite, luckily DP here so was able to have nice snooze this afternoon.

Very new to SE London (moved from Stoke Newington few months ago) and really like it so far

Podpod · 29/05/2010 22:19

Welcome to the neighbourhood Stokey38

CheeseChomper - I know EXACTLY what you mean! It's heaven sent being able to say it here though.....

shipsladyg · 30/05/2010 06:43

another SE Ldn M2B here.

lou19 · 30/05/2010 12:06

Hello hello, I am roundabout 17 weeks (I got confused with the scan dating) and I live in New Cross, near Peckham...I don't know anyone else who is pregnant so it's nice to stumble on this thread have you guys started going to any antenatal classes, like aqua gym, yoga or similar?is there anything good in our area? congratulations to you all

Mae34 · 30/05/2010 13:14

Hello lou -theres a nice antenatal yoga class at Dulwich Therapy rooms on Tuesdays- I've just left so theres a space! And I did NCT classes for SE15 and met some really nice people who were up for keeping in touch and doing stuff once babies arrive (not that mine has - 40 plus 5 now, grrrrr...)

Congrats to those who are in the early stages - very exciting times (as well as nerve wracking I know...)

mysti77 · 30/05/2010 16:26

hihi, I'm in Sydenham and due my first baby in July. Maybe we should have a meet up soon?

Podpod · 30/05/2010 17:24

I'd certainly be up for a meet

Also antenatal yoga (although surely its better to start that once you are some way down the line...? I may look/feel pregnant, but sadly thats just my untoned tummy and not a baby

scgd · 30/05/2010 19:19

Hi all it's so nice to hear from other mums 2 be in the local area, I'm not really sure how to meet other mums and where seeing that its our first baby and i dont feel like i have a clue as to what i'm supposed to do!

Congrats to all on your pregnancies, for those in the early days i remember those clearly, i'm not usually a worrier (i leave that to my husband!) but since we found out we were expecting the roles have completely reversered and i worry non stop! and once one worry has been settled, i find something else to move on to! and for thoses whose little bubbas who are making a late arrival good luck with everything! Which hospitals are you guys under?

Stokey38 I'm feeling good these days thanks, am 24 + 1 today and the ALL DAY sickness did not stop til til 19 and a half weeks was dreading the thought of it staying the whole way through!

Mysti77 I'll look out for any pregnant women when I pass them in the street, you never know I may have already seen you! We could be neighours infact!

i'd definately be interested in a meet sometime if people were up for it x

mysti77 · 02/06/2010 12:55

oh dear, I had all day sickness until nearly 19 weeks as well. I'm 34 weeks today and my 'new' problems are terrible heartburn which makes me sick sometimes, and back pain. Tired all the time too!!

Podpod, I had the same thing early pregnancy, I had a tummy, but have always had a tummy even before pregnancy! It just looked more noticable to me!

Antenatal yoga, I went to a class in Beckenham but found it difficult to get to without a car when my partner couldn't take me. I actually did them from 14 weeks and think it's quite good. You don't need to be further along to do it, although I was the least pregnant lady there at the time!

There is also an Antenatal Water Workout at Crystal Palace on Mondays at 6:30 pm. I do enjoy it but find as I'm still working it's too much for me to put in a full day at work then make my way to the class. I highly recommend it though, for any of you that are nearby. You don't need to be a member, you can pay per class (£5.50).

scgd > I have seen quite a few pregnant ladies in Sydenham. I never noticed it before, but since I've been pregnant I've seen about 4 women on my train getting on or off at Sydenham. Maybe you might have been one of them?

2Issy · 03/06/2010 15:48

Hey!! Congratulations everyone!
I am now 32 weeks and I live in Herne Hill. It's my first pregnancy and I really haven't got a clue!
Is there anyone around Herne Hill or near by also due late July?

mrspear · 03/06/2010 15:57

Hi Congratulations on the babies!

I am Sydenham / Penge area - would love to meet any mums.

mysti77 · 03/06/2010 16:40

Ok when is best for us ladies and where do you want to meet up? I'm happy to help co-ordinate if you want to send me a private message with your contact details?

scgd · 03/06/2010 23:54

sorry mysti77 how do i send private message?

SolidGoldBrass · 04/06/2010 00:01

I'm no longer really in SE London (now in Croydon) but was living there when DS was born, and had him in Lewisham Hospital.
For whoever wanted acquarobics, I went to a lovely class at the Greenwich pools in Trafalgar Rd - the one I did was general acquarobics as I went with a non PG friend, but the teacher was sympathetic and used to say, any PG women don't do this move - and there was a PG-acquarobics class there too which I think was taught by the same woman.
Also I think the Woolwich pool has classes or did 6 years ago anyway.

mysti77 · 04/06/2010 11:48

scgd I see something called "Contact poster" next to everyone's name, I've never done it before to be honest. I'm also trying to find out where to read the messages I recieve LOL

leepod · 04/06/2010 18:08

Still a way down the line for me (Jan 2011), but happy to meet up with mums and mums-to-be

Looking into how to send a private message now.. (all rather new to this forum and still finding my way around).

mysti77 · 08/06/2010 13:24

Stokey38 > still waiting on baby news!! Hope it all went well for you

mysti77 · 08/06/2010 13:26

so far only heard from one person wanting to have a meet up. I've only got 5 more weeks until my due date so if we don't do it before I can organise something after? First baby for me so not sure how I'll feel after but really excited now!

shipsladyg · 08/06/2010 17:57

Sydenham a bit far for me I'm afraid. I might pop along to one of the Sling Meets at the Horniman once little one arrives.
