Hi,

I hope it's ok to post here.

I've been in Brightons beside Polmont for 18 months now but didn't ever change my doctor . I'm now 6 weeks pregnant, visited my old doctor who was thrilled for me but says that I need to find a new doctor and sort out mid-wifey things (my doctor at present is 60 mins away...).

I'm at a total loss - does anyone know any decent doctors in this area? It's suddenly struck me that this is a terrible time to see a mediocre doctor.

Thanks in advance.

You deal with your midwife for nearly everything in pregnancy so it shouldn't really matter what doctor you go to at this stage. Obviously you'll want a good one for other things but i wouldn't worry about it just now, just register with any doctor and get referred to the midwife. I don't even think you need to see a GP, mine just sent me straight over to the midwife.
