Hi

had some great advice from you guys already - just after a bit more

2 weeks go i ended up in the mat ward with dizzyness and pains - they said water infection - anti biotics given - week later - all gone just feel really weak and tired - on a docs note till friday.

Now im feeling the same again - same pains, same stinging sensation and feel complete Pants!

Firstly is this normal to get it so quick? Should i be worried? Can it harm the baby? I've heard that there can be 'complications'? I have a docs appointment friday. (i very selfishly booked an appointment in case i needed an extension on sick note)

I am also waiting for blood results from consultant last week for anemia test and have gtt on wednesday next week.

So far ive had HG, blood infections and water infection...wonder whats next :-(

If the symptoms of your UTI (water infection) have come back, you need to go back asap and get more antibiotics. It's quite common to get a recurrence, I've had several already, such a nuisance. DON'T leave it til Friday, get an emergency appt, or go back to the hospital. If treated this won't harm the baby at all but you don't want to leave it untreated as they can get serious. Good luck and feel better.

I agree with 2nd If you feel ill you must go back to the Docs ASAP. Had loads of water infections and they make you feel like pants

Mine kept coming back as they tried to give me short bursts of anitbiotics . IN the end I had a lowere dose but over a long period of time . Cleared up and dd2 perfectly healthy !

i have also just had two on the trot - get the meds ASAP - UTIs can cause premature labour.

if it keeps on recurring they can put you on a long term course, it is also important to take the best care of your lady region...cotton pants, or none, wash after weeing (can help reduce stinging) and no sex (if you even feel like it!) or at least bathe straight afters...and drink tons of water. I am very, very bored of cranberry drink....

they can be very painful and get into your kidneys too.

No pants and then no sex - OH would call me a tease! (i cant think of anything i want less)

tell him the anti-bs will give you thrush which he can catch too!
DH calls it 'fanjitis of the winky'

actually, thats a point, it may be an idea to ask for an anti-thrush prescription at the same time as you ask for anti-bs...

wish i had.

so does DH.
