How's this pregnancy compared to other 2? I was lucky with both my previous and had no MS so hoping that's the same this time. I'm only 5 weeks but my boobs felt prickly today and it got me thinking as I don't remember any symptoms with number 2 (possibly too tired from number 1 only being 1yr old!).

Helloooo fellow 3rd-timer

This pregnancy has been eventful - I waslucky with my other 2, although I had morning sickness with both of them. This baby has been threatening to come early since 25wks resulting in steroid injections and a stay in hospital.

But I feel great apart from the SPD which I've been told won't get better (in fact it will get slowly worse) until I give birth - fantastic!!!

It will be fine

Only 9 more weeks to go for me.....(not that I'm counting...)

in on my third, its the most eventful so far for me, i also have SPD which started around 17 weeks and slowly got worse and worse, im 37 weeks on wednedsday and am getting induced because im totally bed bound and in a wheelchair on massive painkillers, but honestly, other than the SPD its been a brilliant pregnancy, the baby is growing perfectly and wriggles like a trooper, if it wasnt for the SPD it would be the perfect pregnancy!

So I shouldn't rely on things being the same this time round then!

This one has been pretty uneventful. I had a brief trip to the hospital at 37 weeks with contraction like pains, only to be told they were strong BH . Never had them before so didn't know they felt like that!

Am now 3 days overdue and baby is still very active. I think this time I have developed SPD but not sure, as again, didn't have it either time with DD or DS. Haven't spoken to the midwife about it as doubt they will do anything now. Can't walk too far though and it is agony to sit, stand, do anything. DH has been fab up until now but I can tell he is getting fed up with it

SparkleRainbow · 25/05/2010 09:56

For me the third was pretty much like the others, except I was knackered all the time. Thought it was because I was running around after 5 year old and three year old, but actually turned out to be anaemic, and had been from about 22 weeks, until end of preg. Midwife was lovely, but just left me to get on with it, as I knew what was happening. I would say just cos it is number three don't feel that you can't go and ask all the questions and ask for extra blood tests that you think you might need.

SecretSlattern.....he is getting fed up with it!!!!!!!

Have to say my DH has never been that supportive during preg, but during labour he has always been fab. Had third at home, standing up holding on to him. Had to buy him a new pair of slippers afterwards....but he didn't mind got the best kind of present!

catbus · 25/05/2010 10:58

I was definetly more tired on DC3!
I was a lot more confident though, despite crappy spd and his birth was the best yet, despite him being the biggest so far. Number 4 is in t'oven and this one is the one I feel different and shattered with!
Good luck!

FabMum1 · 25/05/2010 18:37

No.3 is on its way for me too.

Only about 7weeks but it does feel different to my other two. I had terrible morning sickness with my other two and this time hasn't been too bad. I suffered from terrible siatica with both so hoping I don't get that this time round.

LittleSilver · 25/05/2010 18:44

I had atrocious SPD with DD3 from 12 weeks which I had never had with the other 2. Labour was the worst of the lot as well.

Jenba · 25/05/2010 20:07

8 days away from number 3 due date. Have to say I have found this pregnancy much harder than the other 2. Admittedly the whole family (including me) had chicken pox and I have had low iron but I just feel like I have had no time to rest. I also feel like I've got no time to actually go into labour. I am desperate to get this baby out just so I can be more mobile.
On the positive side I am much more relaxed about things this time in terms of labour and looking after the baby once it's born. I am actually really looking forward to meeting this one, we have a boy and a girl already so I feel lucky that I don't have any preference to the sex. Hope you have a happy pregnancy x

knackered76 · 25/05/2010 20:15

I'm hoping my labour will be even shorter then the last two, 6 and 4 hrs respectively. My friend has just had her third and with each one the labour increased. This time it was 2 days!?!?!?!

Jenba 'but I just feel like I have had no time to rest. I also feel like I've got no time to actually go into labour'

  • I feel like that. I can't quite work out how I am going to get any space to give birth! I keep joking that this one will be born whilst I'm cooking the tea but seriously...
RaceyLacey · 25/05/2010 20:25

I'm 12wks tomorrow with dc3. Both pregnancies with ds's were nice and easy. None of the typical pregnancy symptoms, just felt great the whole way through. I've been feeling awful since 6wks and have been hating being pregnant, although have had a new lease of life for the last few days. Didn't start showing with ds1 until 34-36wks , and ds2 about 26wks, have been showing since about 7wks and am bigger now than I was at 40/41 weeks with the boys!

But this time round is with a different partner, so that maybe why this one is so different.

merlin8878 · 25/05/2010 20:48

23+1 with number 3

Have to say though this is the hardest pg so far. And it just keeps getting better! Apart from having hyperemesis from 5 weeks (finally diagnosed at 19 weeks!), anaemia diagnosed 2 weeks ago (despite being on iron since 14 weeks!) and now today told the twinges and niggles I've been experiencing is actually SPD

Didn't have a particularly nice pg with number 2 (hyperemesis and anaemia again), but had a great labour and birth.

With number 1, text book pg - fantastic! But horrible labour and birth.

Fingers crossed that labour and birth this time will be like number 2

At the end of the day though, I wouldn't change anything
