Hi Busymum

Since i was 5 wks i've been having bleed everytime i go for a BM (sorry TMI) and still now at 8+4 going for another scan on Tuesday but they think i have burst a blood vessel (SP)

Good Luck hope all works out

I had spotting at 8w since LMP, then at 11w5 since LMP. I am now 13w4d, and still go to the toilet every 30 mins to "check". It's nerve-wracking, but they cant find anything obviously wrong.
Good luck, let us know how the scan goes. Hopefully it will all be perfect x

Whilst I have no personal experience of this, I've read that in early pregnancy the body sometimes still thinks it needs to have a period and is quite common to have small amounts of blood around weeks 4, 8 and 12 until the hormones have settled. Good luck x

knackered76 · 23/05/2010 16:35

I think it's fresh blood which is more concerning. Fingers crossed for your scan tomorrow x

BosomsByTheSea · 23/05/2010 16:50

Sorry to hear this.

I had a bleed at 8 weeks , quite dark blood, with my last pregnancy. had previously had 4 mcs.

All was fine after a nervewracking 2 day wait for a scan. My 8 month twins are now playing on the floor by my feet.

Really hope it's good news for you too

busymum05 · 23/05/2010 18:00

I am 6-7 weeks. I had a small bleed Friday and was told I had a eroded womb.. But not to worry. As I was closed up otherwise.

AliGrylls · 23/05/2010 19:20

busymum, I had very similar symptoms with my current pregnancy. For two weeks intermittent bleeding. The blood was very dark and almost stringy. Also, it was generally not very much. Everything is fine and pregnancy is normal.

I think if you don't have cramps or any other symptoms the likelihood of it being miscarriage is quite remote. When I had my miscarriage I remember having cramps and thinking they were part of the pregnancy (obviously they weren't).

Hope it all goes well and let me know what happens.

busymum05 · 23/05/2010 19:27

thanks all for positive comments...i need them at the moment, ive just had a bath and the bleed is more like fresh blood now but not actually flowing its just when i wipe but the amount has increased.
Tomorrow cannot come quick enough
I will post on here tomorrow with outcome of the scan.

I have a friend who bleeds fresh blood through the first trimester in every pregnancy (she has 3 DC). It happens especially after she and her DP have sex - something to do with her cervix.

My bleed was quite heavy, but only for 1 night, then like the tail-end of a period for about 4 weeks. Was dark though iirc. Bleeding, even fresh blood is not uncommon, especially early on.

Hope it goes well tomorrow.

busymum05 · 23/05/2010 19:46
