Hello, I'm 6 weeks and started brown spotting last night, today it is pink/red, with small clots and mild cramping.
Went to GP and was told to go home and wait.
As only 6 weeks not much they can do.
Have just re taken digital test and still came up with pregnancy...but only 1-2 weeks since conception?? is it possible that my levels are dropping as losing pregnancy??? any advise would help...going crazy with worry, and Monday seems such a long way off till I can have bloods taken.
Never bleed before with other 2 babies.
My boobs seem to be shrinking, and not as sore?.
Anybody had the same syptoms and go on to have a baby??
Thanks

I would advise ringing your local EPU if you have one and see if they can do an early scan for you.

I know this isn't what you want to hear but I had the same symptoms as you but with backache as well when I miscarried.

But I also know there are people who have these symptoms and it's unexplained - I hope thats what this is for you!!
I hope everythings fine and you go on to have a healthy baby in 34 ish weeks time

I am sorry to say that it does sound like you are miscarrying as I had the same symptoms in January. It was the symptoms disappearing which worried me more than the spotting. I did a couple of tests and the lines were getting fainter. I was sent to EPU for a scan and was between 6-7 weeks, and then had to have another one 10 days later. I hope this is not it, but if it is, if it is any consolation I was pregnant again before I even had a period and am now 18 weeks. Good luck.

Similar here, after my mc I had 1 very light period and am now 30wks pregnant.

I m/c in September.

Hope you're ok ljg xx

Did you take the test with first-morning-urine and had you previously seen a 2-3 weeks on one of those tests? If not, ignore it - they vary so much depending on the strength of your urine that the dating part isn't very reliable.

It doesn't sound great though TBH. If it were only brown spotting it might be okay, but going onto red bleeding with clots is a bad sign - it's what happened with my 2 MCs.

The Miscarriage Association has great info leaflets if you're unsure about what's happening and what will happen next.

littleyellowchicken · 22/05/2010 17:28

Really hope you're OK but what you're experiencing is exactly the same as what happened to me. Symptoms disappeared, boobs shrank and then the full mc.
But just found out yesterday that I am 5 weeks pregannt again after no period in the meantime. Not much consolation for you now I know. But when you come to terms with it - know that it will happen again for you.
Take care.

Thank you ladies for all the advise and kind words.
Bleeding got heavier and so did pain.
went back to GP. Now booked in for scan Monday first thing, it's not looking good, and to be honest I feel like all symptoms of pregnancy have gone.
All I can do is wait and see, but I think you know your own body...and mine is telling me that my "Little Bean" wasn't meant to be.
Thanks again X

So sorry to hear of what you are going through, it's a scary time. I was 5 weeks and had bleeding and pain. The scan showed nothing and they did blood tests instead which showed my hormone levels to be very low. I am still getting +ve HPTs 2.5 weeks later but the nurse told me it can take up to 6 weeks for the hormone to leave your system completely; the HPTs are so sensitive these days that it picks up even falling levels.

Lots of luck for whatever comes next; it's a horrible time having to wait for answers x

DomesticG0ddess · 24/05/2010 12:34

So sorry to hear that and hope it works out next time.

ljg72 · 24/05/2010 12:54

Thanks for all the lovely messages.
had scan today, and I've had a complete miscarriage.
Just wasn't meant to be.
