High Haemoglobin levels?

Before i was pregnant i had some blood tests done as my blood pressure was very high (frequently 150/100). Tests came back ok but doc mentioned i had high haemoglobin levels. My pregnancy blood tests in my notes also say i had a Hg reading of 160. Quick google (i know, i know, shouldn't do it to myself...) and the top end for women is usually around 140, until 100 is anaemic. Now i'm delighted i'm not anaemic obviously but wonder if this is going to be an issue, some really dodgy stats for high Hg and pregnancy issues. Anyone have any experience of this?

I got told I had high heamoglobin levels when I was pregnant with my first child.

One tearful, frightened call to my midwife later and it turns out that I probably always have high heamoglobin levels - it's just me. I was told it wasn't harmful for baby and DS came out perfectly

I'd ask if you're worried. Better to put your mind at rest than worry.
