i keep getting a random pain that comes out of knowhere at top of my bump, always the right side (where i was told my plancenta is, high up right) it only lasts cpl seconds, but really takes my breath away and i usually let out a series of expletives .. i have spoken to my mw, gp and even consultant who all say its growing pains, trapped nerve etc - but im not so sure and i just cant relax now, specially after finding out its in same area as placenta and i have also just been told i have problem with flow of blood from one of my uterine arteries to the placenta .. im depesperate to know what it can be and if its harmful to baby or my placenta.
it literally feels as if baby is poking me from inside with a stun gun and giving me a real shock, can happen at rest or when out and about ..
would love to hear from anyone who has experienced the same, or thinks they know what it could be? many thanks xx

I agree with your mw and gp that it's probably nerve pain. When I was pregnant with DS he kept poking me in the spine or somewhere and sending shooting pains down the nerves in my right leg. It was excrutiatingly painful, but each occassion was short-lived. It did me no long-term damage and DS was unaffected.
