Spotting at 12w3d - Any experiences?

Hi,

I have posted earlier in my pregnancy about spotting - had it on and off for the first 7/8 weeks but luckily early scans showed that things were ok and that is was just 'unexplained'. Have had none now for a while and just when I thought I was out of the woods....I started again last night. Am a bit worried though as previous times it has been browny/pink colour (sorry TMI) but last night it was kind of red tinged.

I haven't had a scan since 9w and won't be getting another due to my hospital's policy until 8th July!!! I know some women can spot throughout, but I am so worried, it is my first and I thought it had all cleared up.

I have rung my midwife, but she is notoriously difficult to get hold of. If anyone else has any advice or experiences of this to reassure me that would be greatly appreciated

Thanks x

I had some blood-streaked discharge at 16 weeks and had a check up at EPU, they say everything is fine (will be 18 weeks on Friday), and v normal to have this sort of thing. You should ring your GP to get referred to EPU - here the midwife can not refer you, the GP has to, so if you are worried go to GP. Have you got a fetal doppler?

No, I haven't got one. I managed to get an EPU referral so have a scan booked for tomorrow morning, which is good. Just have my fingers crossed for then
