Crazy hyperness when I should be asleep?

I'm 36 weeks now and for the last 2 nights although I'm permanently knackered I haven't been able to get to sleep till late because I just can't get comfy in bed, then I'm struck with a frantic urge to get up and do things.

I'm pretty much ready for this baby so I'm not stressing about that! Could this be a sign that the baby's coming soon? Anyone else had this?

I'm 39 weeks and have had this for about 3 weeks or so now so I'm shattered. I've been waking really early in the morning, and unable to get back to sleep. Can't settle down when I go to bed, and also pretty restless in the day too. I constantly feel as though I should be doing something, but too feel too huge and uncomfortbale to actually do much. I think it is the 'nesting' hyperactivity that we are told about - body gearing up for labour, delivery and sleep deprivation. It has to be a good sign

Not just me then ! 3 weeks of this would be pretty hard! I sleep dreadfully when pregnant anyway.

I've still got some energy to do stuff somehow thankfully so the house is getting rapist decluttered

4 hours of broken sleep last night. Gonna try playing relaxation music on low all night tonight to see ifthat helps.

Love your name btw. Too much numberjacks? (I have a 2yo obsessed with numbers!)

Ha ha yes my 3yo dd has been into the numberjacks for a long time now - I have seen far too much of it for my own sanity!

Sorry to hear you had a bad night last night, you can probably tell by my early post that I was up and about hideously early today. Hope the music works for you tonight! The only thing that seems to help me is to try to catch up a little bit by having a doze in the day when possible. I am hoping dd2 will be on time in a week and I can start feeling semi-human again soon!
