(Yup It's yet another thread about symptoms vanishing.)

I am worrying. The only 'feeling pregnant' symptoms I have now are:

  • My boobs really hurt when I wake up and the nipples are larger and darker with bumps (sorry if TMI).

  • I got tired exercising.

  • Supersonic sense of smell.

Apart from that, no nausea, stopped feeling totally shattered, moodswings gone, eating quite a bit but no more thna if I was just being greedy 9 and that could be blamed on giving up cigs).

My scan isn't til June 3rd. MW appt not til 25th May.

So, feeling better - should I be rejoicing or worrying?

I posted a similar thing a couple of weeks ago, at 10ish weeks, when my nausea and tiredness vanished overnight. After 3 days of worrying, the nausea returned, not quite so bad, but bad enough. then it went again a couple of days later. so your sickness could just be coming and going a bit.
Also remember, nausea and tiredness are not the only signs of the hormones raging - thats why your boobs are sore. so your symptoms are still there, just not so many of them. Lots of luck!

But if you are still worried in a few days, do you have an early preg unit at your hospital? A lot of them seem to have one now - and they can scan you early if you sound worried/upset enough. Let us know how you get on. I'm sure everything is OK, tho.

The indicator every women should have is needing to go to the loo more often. That's what dissappered for me when I had a missed-miscarriage at 9 weeks (the embryo had died at 5+6) and I know that I had a bad feeling about the whole pregnancy from the word go, I just wasn't getting the usual symptoms.

Sometimes the more you think about how you are feeling the less you feel those symptoms. Give it some time and if you are still getting no symptoms then go and see your midwife. Unfortunately if something is going to happen then it will, there isn't really anything that can be done about it.

It's reassuirng that you still have a heightened sense of smell. Good luck, I hope things work out for you.

i'm going through the same thing right now. my symptoms are coming and going all the time.

i haven't been sick as much as my previous pg's and im managing to eat loads.

have had 1 scan at 6+3 wks and all was fine, next scan is on june 3rd too. will be 10+2 then.

my epu will only scan if you have bleeding or bad pains.

not sure how i'm going to get through the next few weeks.

Miffster · 14/05/2010 20:12

Thanks for the replies.
Yesterday I was back and forth to the loo weeing like a racehorse. Today, not so much but still going every couple of hours...
EPAU will only scan if spotting/doctor referral and they did scan me at 6+1 and found a heartbeat so fingers crossed. Next scan is 12+2 and is beginning of June.
I know there's nothing I can do if things haven't worked out, but it's reassuring knowing others have days of feeling normal as well, so cheers for that and crossed fingers.

My sickness vanished at week nine in all my pregnancies.Worried the first time, didn't the other two. Plus I NEVER had the needing to wee thing until I actually had a heavy baby pressing on my bladder. Some people go through their whole pregnancies without any symptoms, so try not to worry!

mumatron · 14/05/2010 20:23

i never had the needing to wee thing in any of my pg's. it's all so individual.

i have been pg 7 times (2dc) and this is the first time i have felt any different. all the others have been pretty much identical.

struggling to get my head around it tbh.

PickleSarnie · 14/05/2010 22:33

My symptoms dissappeared at 10 weeks. Stressed like hell then a week later I was worshiping the porcelain god once more. Wish I'd been more careful about what I wished for!

mamasunshine · 15/05/2010 07:51

In both of my pregnancies I only had nausea form 6-8 wks, then nothing. Apart from tiredness. It was always a relief to get to the 12wk scan as I just didn't feel pregnant. Then it was a relief to get to 15 wks to hear HB. All was weel in both pregnancies. As hard as it is try not to stress yourself out with it Sending you a big hug!

lemonysky · 15/05/2010 09:19

I'm 10wks tomorrow and I've had horrible sickness and nausea since 5w, although with days off and feeling great here and there. This is my first pregnancy, and if I believe what I was told by fertility doctors, possibly my last...

But I've had zilch sickness since Monday. I'd like to say I'm getting pleasure from finally feeling okay but I'm not - I'm totally scared that I'm walking around thinking I'm still pregnant and I'm not. Short of rushing for another scan, I don't think there's anything I can do except get to 12 weeks scan. It's a beautiful day out there today, I feel physically fine and I wish I could enjoy it . You have to have faith and believe, but it's soooooooo hard when you have no idea of what's normal for you and your pregnancy - and because you want something so much to go right

seasister · 16/05/2010 11:06

Lemonysky; It is hard but even if everything was going well you'd still worry, I think. That seems to be the nature of pregnancy! Fingers crossed everything is good for you.

Miffster · 16/05/2010 18:58

Lemonysky, hope your anxiety goes...but maybe it is a pregnancy symptom in itself? Feeling emotional and extra worried?

I feel sick and tired again today.
Mostly tired, sickness is mild.
I should be careful what I wish for.
