Hello everyone!
This is my first time for a lot of things..using this web site....being pregnant! i'm 6 weeks in (unexpected but delighted!) had some v light spotting last week so went to EPU they did a scan and said whilst they could see the sac, they diagnosed me with bicornuate uterus(heart shaped) which from what i can tell may mean i am high risk? the said the sac was laterally placed which i think is a good thing?- i have to go back in two weeks for another scan to check viability and position again. has anyone had any experience with this? also i have been going to tooting epu which have been great but i think my insurance might cover me for private due to "high risk" - am I better off going to somewhere like Portland?
any tips greatly received!

I have one, heart shaped is good I think, mine is split completely in two. But have had two healthy pregnancies and have two beautiful girls so don't worry, it's not necessary a bad thing. Both mine came early though, but they were big babies. Have to say, not many midwives had experience of it, but it didn't matter in the end. Good luck, hope it all goes well and congratulations.

I have one, I have also had 2 vaginal deliveries and no problems conceiving. I did have a 9 week miscarriage which was when it was diagnosed.

It was described to me as "an interesting anomaly".

Anything you want to know, feel free to ask.
