Worried - used veet

I'm 9+5. Around the time I found out I was pregnant, I used Veet hair removal mousse - on upper legs, bikini line and a small line of hair on stomach. It's the sort that you take off after 3 minutes.

I am now freaking a little as I've read I shouldn't have used due to the chemical absorption. Should I be worried? I hate the idea that I've let in any damaging chemicals.

Thanks

Ah don't worry, it'll be fine. I used it just before I had DS - I had a scheduled section and frankly it was better than shaving!

No really, one time use, not a problem.

wouldn't worry, i used to get waxed all over while pg, my waxer was always worried putting it on my belly in case it burned the baby!

Thanks both - god, the worry (about everything) is going to kill me!

I take it this is your first then?

Honestly, babies have been born for a long time without people worrying about everything, and they survived the experience. You will be fine, your baby will be fine. Be happy, you are going to be a mum!

It is my first ... I'm embarrassed by my neurosis. Sorry

Ah don't be we were all like that - I rushed to A&E at seven weeks because I stopped feeling awful - assumed the worst. Turned out I had recovered from a urine infection

It gets better don't worry!

Ozziegirly · 12/05/2010 00:20

I used it once a week for about 6-7 weeks before I got to the bit in my book that said I shouldn't use it!

Whoops.

We shall see if this baby is bald.

But actually I think skin is good at not letting stuff through otherwise I just think we would all be constantly be affected by things.

And the Daily Mail would have the headline "Veet causes baby baldness. Single mothers to blame".
