decidual bleeding? please help..

I posted this in the conception forums also, so I'm sorry for repeating myself but I got no response there as of yet and I am the most impatient person in the WORLD. So I thought I'd try here!

Hey guys, I'm new here and was hoping for a bit of advice. Sorry if this is long!

Been TTC for a couple of months now, and so far nothing doing, but it is early days! But the last period I had was 3 days long at the most, probably more like 2 because the last day had hardly any blood at all. This is pretty weird for me cause my periods have never been less than 6 days long. It was pretty much like a normal period otherwise, although maybe more of a brown colour (?) - sorry if that's TMI.

I've been reading about decidual bleeding but I'm uncertain if that's what this is, obviously it's pretty rare so I know there's a good chance it may not be. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me of any experiences they've had with decidual bleeding, how long it lasts, how heavy it was, etc, and if anyone could think of anything else this could be?

I am not clued up as to decidual bleeding?? But if you mean implantation bleeding then it well could be.
My 3rd pg was surprising as I was put a week ahead by a dating scan; yet I had a 'period' a few days early lasting about 4 days. It wasn't that light really.

Apparently it's different to implantation bleeding. It's when you are pregnant but a small part of the lining comes out around the time your period is due, so it's like a short or light period. Apparently it's quite rare but women who get it confuse it with AF and don't realise they're pregnant.

Thanks I'm hoping so too! BFN a couple of days before the bleeding started but I'm hoping it was just too early to test. I'm also hoping I'm not just getting my hopes up too much...

Oh, well in that case I think I had decidual bleeding then! I really didn't think I could be pg because of the bleeding..

haha that could well have been what it was. I had no idea about it until i started obsessively googling things. And now yesterday i had a pale pink discharge, there's nothing today. So i don't know if that counts as a sign or if i'm just symptom spotting as usual :S
