constant tugging feeling for 24hrs

I've had this on and off for weeks now, but for the past 24hrs I have had almost constant tugging/pulling sensations (they're not painful). I am 11w 4d, and I believe this is completely normal, but it's a bit unnerving when it goes on for ages. It's nice to hear others are having the same - so any comments would be lovely

It feels almost like I have on jeans a wee bit too tight (I have loose jammies on), or as if someone is stretching an elastic band inside me.

Sounds like stretching pains (they have a technical name which I can't remember just now ) which are very normal and occur around this time in pg, nothing to worry about.

Hiya, I had similar, particularly down right side and quite painful. Was sent by worried GP to emergency gynae unit, but as I suspected there was nothing wrong- just stretching pains. He was being over-cautious I think, but the experience scared the bejesus out of me and DH. I put it down to having had a particularly stressful week at work (could feel myself tensing) and then doing loads of hoovering etc when I got home in the evening. I am now 14w 6d and still get some aches and pangs, and just make sure I sit or lie down and relax for a bit. I think some of it might be digestive system too. Hope that helps- apologies if TMI!

thanks v much for the advice. I have been sitting or lying since I found out I'm pg, so I'm not overdoing things, thats for sure. Altho I do work from home, and some days can be tense, so i'm trying to steer clear of that kind of tension. Thanks!

I remembered the technical name!

Round ligament pain.

Ah, yes, thank you! I've read about this, but it seems to say it is the second trimester when this hits.
Also, I thought that was more the stabbing pains you get when you stand up too quickly, for example.

I was told by MW I had this (RLP) when I had what I would describe as pulling feelings, from fairly early on, def 1st trimester.
Are they still going?
Give your MW a call if you are worried.

they're not so strong today. I'm not worried, as such, just wondering if it was normal for it last for ages. Thanks, guys x
